  1. Threw it away with amateur defending and goal keeping against a team that were surprisingly crap.
  2. Tinnion just said we had five 16 year olds on the pitch when the game finished. 15 year old up front..

    Ranieri gone

Another million or so in the bank I suppose..
  4. I think its in the matchday thread, but no harm posting it again as its one of the best I've seen.
  5. Dunno, but our version is just 15 years old. Knight-Lebel is only 16 I think.
  6. I'm expecting Luton to line up similar to Cardiff, only they are a lot more competitive and in very good form. Tough game and if either/both James and Williams are ready I'd like to see one or both in the team, even if only for 60 minutes or so. We are very weak without those two and King against a strong side like Luton. A draw would be good but expecting a Luton win.
  7. Well, they've won the last two but lost the three before that.
  8. Already up to 3,000 according to Barton. They'll be up to 4,000 by the end of today.
  9. I've always viewed it as a player who has had many clubs, mainly in the lower divisions. In its literal sense I suppose it could be aimed at any player who has played for numerous clubs, but I see it as a relatively derogative term which I wouldn't apply to players who have had a top class career. I actually thought everyone saw it the same way as me, apparently not - every day is a school day

    Semenyo

More stats; I think he's had six 90 minute games since coming back into the team and provided 3 goals and 4 assists. So, directly involved with 7 goals in six games. I don't think your stats are a coincidence at all.
  11. All about opinions, but I thought Pack had a good game today. Flint ? Agree, got the very best out of him.
  12. When Flint was here (before Martin was here) he was asked who was the most difficult player he had come up against. He said Martin. I think Flint won't be "relishing" going up against Martin.
  13. Didn't get to the table till after eight.
  14. It looks like 20k home tickets sold to me. But difficult to be accurate tbh given the seats not on sale in the upper Lansdown. Either way, it'll be a good crowd all things considered.
  15. 9,611 attendance at Reading tonight. Back to the old days...
  16. I think there are three considerations here; 1. NP quoted that to defend the player. 2. NP quoted that to justify his selection. 3. NP quoted that as Vyner had a couple of games where he did well with Atkinson out of form/recovering from illness. But those decent performances were not as a CB playing in the middle of a three. I really didn't think he would match up Vyner with Mitrovic and it was a big mistake that certainly cost us. I'm not too bothered about what NP says, but it is a concern to have selected Vyner matched to Mitrovic, he should know Vyners strengths and weaknesses.
  17. Its most definitely the latter imo.
  18. Agreed. I hope NP gives Vyner a break. He had a mare, not for the first time. Switches off far to often.
  19. They had 8 shots on target, we had 5. Only they scored six of those eight...

    Semenyo

I think that Semenyo's issue was his lack of composure rather than his finishing - he looked ok in the vids of training but it fell apart when it mattered. He seems to have got over that issue judging from the last few games - not so many wild shots. Today will give him a lot of confidence and if he can keep up this form he's going to have a lot of clubs after him.

    Semenyo

Especially if Vyner is at the back - Atkinson would have been a better choice and I fully expect him to be in the team at Vyners expense against Cardiff. At least, I hope so. On topic, Semenyo is starting to look the real deal with his power and pace. Commentators on the stream I watched (a Fulham stream) were saying he is someone they'd like to see at Fulham. Semenyo's 2nd goal showed his power in holding off the defender by veering toward him to keep him at arms distance from the ball, then outpacing him and firing in a lovely finish, hitting the inside of the far post. Brilliant goal which he started on the half way line. He's full of confidence and I'm really looking forward to seeing him against Cardiff.
  22. Hopefully, he's back for the Cardiff game alongside King, much more solid with those two involved and it gives us a bit of bite in midfield. We also missed Joe Williams today. It would be nice to get both James and Williams back for Cardiff, but thats very doubtful.
  23. Could end up very embarrassing. Didn't really expect to be thrashed like this, but defending like we have its inevitable. I'd expect a couple of changes at HT to try to keep the score down and maybe pinch one. One ray of sunshine is Semenyo, two great finishes. Other than that, most of our team are watching Fulham play.
