I would say a third of the seasons games will change day and ko time. This is another reason that people will be reluctant to buy season tickets as you wont be able to plan around the games so easy as most will be short notice changes. Clubs are getting a decent wedge from sky but in my view attendences will reduce across the country as people will be in two minds whether to buy them.

It will kill the live matchday experience for many.

All the changes up to early Jan will be announced by Sky before the season starts.

Personally looking forward to the huge and varied amount of EFL games on Sky next year, though agreed it will probably influence my attendance on numerous City games.

Always been a problem at Ashton Gate

Ultimately its probably because we have a higher percentage of fans compared to other clubs where the result isn't the be all and end all.  Having a day out on the booze with mates or a nice family outing to 85 mins of football before the kids get bored.

Gonna say does this happen to such an extent at other Championship grounds...say at Home Park v City the other week (team on a dismal home run, not scoring and discontent with manager)

The exodus on 40 mins most games here and then in huge numbers today before the end, is that common place elsewhere when struggling or maybe just what modern  day people do now ?

I saw the goal this time but would have definitely left before the end another day though probably if we were 3-0 down not 1-0 ..

But the fixture list won’t be announced until after the last renewal date will it?
If that’s the case anyone in the SS who hasn’t renewed won’t be able do so in the SS will

Yeah agreed,  even if the fixtures come out mid June with the Sky's bulk live date changes including till Jan  all will be after season ticket renewal dates..

One of the problems is the changing of the day you look at the fixture list try and arrange holidays but mainly trying to sort out important family events then the day was changed as what happened with Swansea

The fixture list should stay solid up to January as the TV dates and times are set in stone till then (Jan 7th - End of season might be different) but yes Police could / will move the Welsh clubs..

Jerry - as you’re here can you please ask as part of the renewals that the club illustrate the likely impact of the new TV deal on timings of games. A lot of supporters not on here won’t be aware that the expectations of Saturday 3pm will be in jeopardy and it’s really unfair to ask supporters to renew without giving them full details of the possible impact. In fact, it may even be argued as being against fair sale processes.

Understand my ST price rise and actually intrigued to see if LM can build his own side ..but agree its the impact of the TV deal that will have the biggest effect on me attending games...

IIRC there are 23 home games 😉

    18 “Saturday”

    5 “midweek”

All (5) midweek will be broadcast (streaming service*)

5/12 Saturday matches will be televised - so 7/8 will be moved for tv coverage

Plus either the opening day or final day will be televised

That will leave 9/10 Saturday 3pm games (on average per club) that won’t be televised.

An awful lot of Championship footy live, being all opening day, final day, all the Bank Holidays, all midweek let alone taking 5 of the standard Saturday fixtures each week..

Can't see there being as much notice on games after Christmas as presumably Sky will want to choose the more attractive ones especially as the season progresses...though the scope to pick will be wider ..

Because we were supposedly chasing top 6 and we needed players now.

I thought it was weird on his part, not waiting to look at all his options in the summer, even if he made the same decision. .not as if we're Real Madrid or something....totally get it from Derby and City's prospective ...

  8. I thought LM tactically first half got it right reducing free-flowing Ipswich to virtually nothing, second half I thought Mckenna got it right with his tactics and substitutions

Overall I think the club will back Manning in the summer to build the team in the way he wants with the ingredients he needs...may work may not ..have some reservations but generally happy to give him a chance.

    I wouldn't go that far.

But something does need to be done.

Not everyone can afford to pay Dolman and Lansdown prices and when it comes to potd that's the only option.

People are being priced out of attending because of empty seats.

A solution that works needs to be found.

Agreed, can't have these rows of empty seats in the South Stand, someone will lose out I'm sure but that look can't be right..

I think the heritage & archive idea is very good & players numbers are a touch of class. The shirt is smart.
I really don’t get the celebration though of a one off cup tie. I thought it about the Liverpool celebration. It just smacks of a small club mentality .

Love the shirt, would have introduced it as the main kit for the 25/26 season as a 50 years on from promotion instead...

It is a bit odd, hope she’s OK. No updates to her Instagram since Jan 1st either. Quite a few people have tweeted her asking her if she’s OK, without reply.

Hope she's ok, always more likely to watch the pre-match build up if Michelle is on..

If you aint doing anything wrong whats the problem.... This sort of thing been happening for years worst thing was the s60s stop and search at the match....

Agreed, couldnt care less and expect it, never once think about privacy or human rights or stuff like that ...

The balloon fiesta takes place over weekend 10/11 august 2024 and the new season starts the same weekend

FIVE of the TWELVE match's will be televised LIVE each weekend, legally

I originally thought the five live games were to be scheduled for fri/sat/sun/mon

I think all five games will go up BT/TNT 12:30pm kick offs on Saturday.

As I have stated before I prefer 12:30pm kick offs for AWAY GAMES,as it gives more time for those who drive home a bit more day light.

10/11th is correct, not read anywhere all games would be at 12.30 (that sounds ridiculous from a viewers prospective ) first day (s) of the season ALL Championship matches are live on Sky..

Our concourse seemed bigger and a lot more food drink outlets than West Ham had to me

Agreed I was surprised how 'poor' the concourse was actually for an Olympic Stadium

  15. Biggest surprise of the season to me how ineffective (bar Roth) he's been, thought he bulked out a bit last year and though not ideal as the loan striker role, thought he'd give it a fair go but alas its not worked out at all.

Still a promising player in there,  hopefully LM will eventually get the best out of him.

I’m no great LJ fan (that league cup run aside) but that’s not quite accurate in my view. He did do reasonably well at Sunderland for a time and won the JPT. Not great for a club of their size perhaps but was their first Wembley win and trophy for years.

Pretty sure he will end up at Yeovil at some point!

Agreed I think Yeovil too at some stage, Fleetwood job never looked an appropriate fit.
