Probably. Isn't there a proposed regeneration of that whole.

Thomas Ware and Son. Nothing on media sites for a couple of years but filed accounts in Sept 2023.

I think that’s a bit of an exaggeration. I think, irrespective of where you’re sat in the row, if you stay to the end then you’re going to be behind those who’ve already left their seats.
Your behind everyone sat in front of you so the lower the row number the quicker you will get out. Dolman stand is notoriously slow to exit. 30 odd years have taught me that and I have an end seat!

I am a ST holder in E29. There isn’t an issue with persistent standing so you should be ok for the most part. As people empty out for their half time pint, those closest to the aisles will be obstructed, so perhaps a middle of the row seat will suit you better.
Remember sitting in the middle of a row will add 30 minutes to exiting at full time whistle.

I cannot see how he plays for BCFC. Unless I'm missing something he offers nothing. If he has time to think he never delivers, cannot head, cannot win a ball and passing in general is woeful. Today I watch in disbelief and the guys on the bench must think what have I done wrong to be behind him. I never like to single people out but I'm sorry I cannot see how he's stealing a living from us.......
Also appears to be unable to assess where to position himself as a blocker. Their left back was just behind their winger, when they had possession, yet Cornick positioned himself higher than that line and gave the full back as an out every time the ball came out on the left side of their defence.

Surely that should be "That'll learn em" proper Bristol speak.

Spent most the game just shouting at players for his own errors.
Anyone notice what his spat with Dickie was about at ft?
As always. Another "pointer" we've had a few.

We'll be okay IMO.
Relegating Stoke at their ground would be lovely however...We should really try if it is possible on the day.
Birmingham survived at AG in 2017, which was a shame- we just didn't show up. Lots of possession but no punch, a point would've done it as it turned out.
I will say it again, "we played for Cotterill that day and helped him and Arry out"

I watched the sky replay today and they kept saying a lot of players were slipping on it
But it was hissing down throughout the game and for how many days prior.

The limited routes of the AG bus services are quite frustrating, I'm sure if the club under took a comprehensive travel survey they'd be quite encouraged by those who'd like to use more public transport, if it was available - they might even be able to profit from a scheme.
There are fans in Longwell Green, Kingswood, Gloucester Road, Keynsham who all have to take multiple busses to get to BS3 on a match day which come with additional challenges getting home - so the default setting for a lot of people is to take the car.
Bring back the match day "specials" letter L from Knowle West. Drivers and Conductors sat around the perimeter of the pitch and leaving 10 minutes before time to man the long line of buses the length of Duckmoor Rd.

I think not because in season against foreign countries was mid week. He did not play in a "Home International"
And the couple of world cup qualifiers versus Republic of Ireland who had City centre forward Dermott Curtis in both games, didn't, if my memory is correct, make him miss a City match.
Thanks CA exactly as I remember but wanted to check as I'm as miffed about Carey's creatively manipulated total as you.

Does anyone know or have the time and information to advise if Big John ever missed a City game due to playing for England.

Yes the long forgotten hospital broadcast hut. If I remember correctly it wasn’t so small and was supported by iron pylons. But I was quite young
Probably only 8ft square and stood on iron legs about 4ft off the steps.

If you were in hospital you could get the live broadcast from the little shack at the back of the open end. 1954/55 my first games and it was there then.

No X2 anymore. X1 starts at Asda goes up Winterstoke Rd then meanders around the housing estate comes out by Tropicana then heads to the Centre and onwards. I think alternate timed ones start at Marine Parade. Check on First Bus app and use the tracker.

Thanks @Frenchay Red
I was there for that match. Biggest crowd at Ashton Gate in my lifetime of 42,594.
I went to BGS and we had lessons on Saturday mornings. Our Form Master gave three of us an early end to school because we had tickets.
And one more for Red Alligator. Wally Hinshelwood played 149 games for City so a significant part of our history.
Tickets C A, no tickets for us but to make sure we got in we were at the Ashton Rd turnstiles at 10.00. am queuing for them opening at mid-day. When the huge crowd started piling in we were lifted over the railings and sat around the side.

My memory of Wally was from my early days on "Crackers Corner" so got a close up when he took corners. Can also remember he carried a nasal stick which he sniffed on during games. At first I thought he was carrying a cigarette in his hand.

I spent one Christmas Day morning at the war remnants museum in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
It had been busy with long queues leading up to Christmas and a local told us to try Christmas Day which we did with no queuing.
Not the cheeriest, most festive of activities but interesting all the same. Followed by an incredibly hot curry for Christmas lunch.
On a tour of Vietnam our guide always referred to Ho Chi Minh City as Saigon. In a quiet place, to avoid putting him on the spot in public, I asked him why " was it a cultural/political thing etc "No" he replied "it's easier to say".

It was nice to see us 1) actually pass the ball 2) actually stay patient in 3) play through the lines. This is what I’ve been waiting for as a bcfc fan.
Especially point 3.

I keep repeating on here that one of our best homegrown centre backs in my long lifetime made his debut and then waited nearly six years until he played his next match. He became a solid rock for the next six or seven years and is still alive as far as I know.
Gordon Parr!
Always classed Gordon as a "wing half" in the infamous Parr, Connor Lowe set up but agree with your point on sticking with players who the manager/coaches see in training daily and form judgements on this.

Will say this again. Wasn't Cotts assisting "Arry" Rednapp and our boys did him a favour, well that's how it looked from what was going on in front of my eyes!
