  1. What a whiff I had from the clothing of two guys who were in and out of our row all game. Must have had an affect as I was clapping and singing along with the crowd, now that's not me I'm a miserable bugger.
  2. Just received the above by email. Here's your chance to get your moans in. Mine, PA and announcers with little knowledge of the product.
  3. X1 bus from St George's to Ashton Gate Stadium. 20 minute service, hourly return after about 8.00.pm. If you are able of course.
  4. Saw one or other of them on loan at Clevedon. Not impressed.
  5. Felt Nahki's nous and experience would have got him into positions to get on the end of what felt like countless balls cut across the face of goal in the first half. Not saying he should be in front of Bell though.
  6. The Ship, Cathay to us oldies as there was another Ship on Redcliff Hill about 150 yards away.
  7. And of course the income will be declared on their tax return in April.
  8. I always exchanged my £10 starter for a shop voucher and gave it as a Christmas present to the son of my niece. Each time Y was told you can't do that in the shop but replied " well I did last year" and I always got one.
  9. https://www.facebook.com/groups/227604377375687/?ref=share Try posting here. Steve Sutors Old Football Photos page. It's all about local football and Jantzen Derrick, John Giles, Chris Selway are active on the site and may remember your dad.
  10. Fail to see how McIndoe falls into the category of "throwing bodies in the way". Any likelihood of getting near a "meaty" challenge and he turned into an Olympic hurdler.
  11. Exactly, there was a youngish couple and their three young boys, all in their Norwich kits, on my bus heading for Weston. The Jewel of the West.
  12. Going in through Ashton Road end a young lady steward asked the wrong question " have you got a ticket" "yes thank you" I replied. She smiled as I walked past her.
  13. Unused code here for anyone that is in need. IYDOYC
  14. My boy's band wouldn't play for a fee that small. Only joking.
  15. What's the motion, is it like the Top Rank.?
  16. I thought the Beeb were all down Finzels Reach now.
  17. Only spoke to Phillips once. One lunch time I had gone to the Gate pre season to renew my season ticket. Whilst driving out towards Ashton Road the open top car in front stopped and the male driver signalled another open top car driven by a lady, coming into the Gate, to stop and then proceeded to have a conversation. After waiting patiently for a minute or so I got out and politely asked the driver to pull over in order that I could get back to work. It was Phillips, he looked at me as if I was a piece of sh** on his shoe. I got back in my motor and waited patiently for him to move. It was lucky I was in a firm's motor or I would have rammed the arrogant sod after being kept waiting for what seemed an age before he pulled away. He holds my record for being the most contemptible person, in the shortest contact time, I have ever "met".
  18. Ooops had Cardiff on the brain after reading Salah fiasco and Mick's previous involvement.See edit
  19. Mick McCarthy: Blackpool appoint veteran boss until end of the season Last updated on1 hour ago1 hour ago. From the sectionBlackpool144 Mick McCarthy left Cardiff City in October 2021 after a run of eight consecutive defeats Blackpool have appointed ex-Republic of Ireland boss Mick McCarthy as their new head coach until the end of the season. The Seasiders, who are 23rd in the Championship, sacked Michael Appleton on Wednesday after a run of one win in 11 league games. McCarthy, 63, has been out of the game since leaving Cardiff by mutual consent in October 2021. His first match in charge will be Saturday's home game against fellow strugglers Huddersfield. McCarthy, who has also managed Millwall, Sunderland, Wolves and Ipswich in England, will be joined by long-serving assistant Terry Connor at Bloomfield Road. "I'm delighted to be here, I'm delighted to be back in the game," McCarthy said. "I'm thrilled to be back up at a club where I've had many battles in the past and hopefully we can achieve some of the similar success of those years." Blackpool are three points adrift of safety and without a win in the Championship since beating Coventry on 29 October. They have only picked up four points from a possible 30 since then. "From the initial contact with Mick, you sensed an excitement to come to Blackpool yet a calmness and confidence about the job ahead," chief executive Ben Mansford added. "Mick referred to our superb support from the first conversation and how important the fans will be for the remaining 19 games, starting against Huddersfield on Saturday." /643302590259
  20. I have this funny feeling we will get a pen tomorrow, maybe due to the slippery conditions. If so do we give the ref a round of "you don't know what you're doing".
  21. Is this why they now park up at the HPC and arrive by coach.
  22. What the one where our players did a favour for Cotts who was assistant to Harry at the time.
