  1. I thought the same, if they weren't there then we're both losing it!
  2. I remember seeing Motorhead there for 50p I think it was, saw quite a few good rock bands in Tiffany's, still have my membership card in old wallet somewhere at home!
  3. I'm off to buy an ounce in an hours time once the shop opens here
  4. I got up at 4:30am (-7 hours time difference) to watch this, I should've just stayed in bed!
  5. It was at that Liverpool game that I learned to stand in front of the barricades in the East End and not behind them, couldnt breathe!
  6. Just stroking Tinnions ego here methinks. He'll be back on X (Twitter) tonight
  7. Worst Christmas Day for me was 2017, North of Fort McMurray, woke up with my head and neck feeling like it was on fire, went to medics at work and it turned out to be shingles, the pain got worse over the following days along with the leaking pustules etc. Best bit about it was that it was -45C outside so when the pain got too much I just doused them with water and went outside to literally freeze my head. Best one for me now is just any time I get to spend with the Mrs and our kids/ grandkids
  8. Love sprouts, they also make the best bubble and squeek
  9., unfortunately Northern Alberta oilfields, big oil doesn't give a fig about work/ life balance, we're all just a number to make profit for the shareholders. This is my last few months before I retire in March thank goodness
  10. I've already had my Christmas dinner on 10th December as I'm now working away from home until I fly home on the 27th. Trick for keeping turkey juicy is to raise it in the pan on a rack then pour chicken stock into the pan, it then evaporates into the turkey whilst it's cooking
  11. I'm going with the "tecknical" director judging by the "disapoint" spelling
  12. 2004, I went to work in Bremen, Germany, on the weekends used to either go watch Werder or do the touristy things. One Saturday me and my mate decided to visit St Petri Dom the big cathedral in the city and climb the towers 250 odd steps to get a better vista of the city, as we climbed the last step to enter the viewing area, right in front of us emblazoned in big letters was " Germany 1 England 5" considering this was a few years after that game I was surprised it hadn't been removed, still it made us laugh and of course we posed for photos
  13. Could have our badge but robin sitting on a Christmas pudding, too easy for the merchandise team to figure it out though!
  14. I feel the return of Bullshit Bingo is on the near horizon, so bloody tired of this seemingly never ending cycle
  15. Same for me, I was lucky to see City in Division 1 and for the couple of seasons beforehand. I now live thousands of miles away from Bristol so only get to watch on Robins TV and have the same sinking feeling that I will never see City in the top flight again, bloody depressing how fast life and football seasons pass you by
  16. I always loved the Christmas Market in Bremen,Germany. Beautiful setting in the town market square, and it went from near the end of November until just before Christmas, they used to have markets there every Saturday too, great place to visit
  17. I like his "Weird Bristol" books, as an expat they keep me thinking of home, also enjoy his mystery novels, they run along at a nice pace, good easy reading.
  18. Neck guards are now being worn in Junior Hockey here in Canada, I went to the Medicine Hat Tigers game last Saturday and both teams players were wearing them, the playersdidn't seem to like wearing them as loads of them were left on the ice for the ref to pick up and discard during breaks in play!
  19. I've noticed alot of new names on here supporting the regime since the Nige situation exploded, normally I would say I could smell Gas, but now I smell BS
  20. I missed the Mike Dean bit, the f@cking ****t!
  21. Jitter, a name I've only ever heard / have been called in Bristol, love it
  22. Everbody is voting for Nigel Pearson
