  1. Same for me, I was lucky to see City in Division 1 and for the couple of seasons beforehand. I now live thousands of miles away from Bristol so only get to watch on Robins TV and have the same sinking feeling that I will never see City in the top flight again, bloody depressing how fast life and football seasons pass you by
  2. I always loved the Christmas Market in Bremen,Germany. Beautiful setting in the town market square, and it went from near the end of November until just before Christmas, they used to have markets there every Saturday too, great place to visit
  3. I like his "Weird Bristol" books, as an expat they keep me thinking of home, also enjoy his mystery novels, they run along at a nice pace, good easy reading.
  4. Neck guards are now being worn in Junior Hockey here in Canada, I went to the Medicine Hat Tigers game last Saturday and both teams players were wearing them, the playersdidn't seem to like wearing them as loads of them were left on the ice for the ref to pick up and discard during breaks in play!
  5. I've noticed alot of new names on here supporting the regime since the Nige situation exploded, normally I would say I could smell Gas, but now I smell BS
  6. I missed the Mike Dean bit, the f@cking ****t!
  7. Jitter, a name I've only ever heard / have been called in Bristol, love it
  8. Everbody is voting for Nigel Pearson
  9. I'd be surprised if they didn't surreptitiously reach out to him after we played Coventry tbh, Steve's younger lookalike wouldn't be too bad in all honesty, better than blummin Rowett anyways
  10. Jon Lansdown probably thinks that he can get Claudio Ranieri in to finish off Nige's hard work for the second time, that's how deluded the crayon chewer and his Dad is!
  11. As a Safety Officer in gas plants in Canada, over here all tannoy systems have to be audible during normal operating procedures in case of emergency announcements, you would have thought that in a highly conjested stadium ( that will never apply at the Slumorial!) that would have to be a requisite to get the Safety Certificate, but who knows.
  12. I was watching on my tv in Canada, got so bored before half time and went and cooked myself a fry up, of course Brum scored to rub it in that I broke my fried egg yolks ffs, second half wasn't much better
  13. My parents couldn't afford to buy replica shirts, the only shirts I had were the season befores Blackhorse Boys Club ones as my Gramps used to help run it, and I used to help him do the pitch lines and put up the goal nets every Saturday morning!
  14. Haven't got any choice over here, Strongbow or home brew, I can't bring myself to drink Strongbow
  15. Home brewed dry cider 6.5%, beautifully chilled and drawn from the kegs in my living room, bliss
  16. And that's where Alex should go, they nurture young talent there, not hide it in the reserves or on loan
  17. Ah well, on a brighter note for some, at least Mark Robins can have tea with his Dad Steve after Coventry play us next season
  18. I'm going there in August as it's my wife's family home town, I didn't know this was there, will definitely have to take a ride on this wonderful looking piece of engineering
  19. I'd forgotten about this Simple Minds track, they did a few instrumentals around this time that were absolutely stunning pieces of work, right better get these albums back on the turntable!
  20. This is why McDonald's stopped selling the 1/3 pound burger in the USA because the customers logic thought they were getting less than a 1/4 pounder because 3 is smaller than 4
  21. Just tell em it's a pizza cutter not a bird
  22. I've seen Ryan Reynolds in loads of films but have absolutely no idea who SHE is,, must be getting old!
  23. I used to live in the Turkish area of Bremen for a while, lots of them were Muslims, but it was a very friendly area to us Englanders, and bloody delicious food!
