  2. Some old music live tonight with Fairport Convention at Bath Forum. Not cutting edge or ground breaking, just a great evenings entertainment with some superb musicians.

  4. Saw Melanie at the 1970 Isle of Wight festival, very underrated singer/songwriter. RIP.
  5. Of far greater significance was the 2-1 win against Liverpool in May '77 which set us up for the epic at Coventry 3 days later.

  10. Certainly was, I remember the police helicopter hovering overhead while we were waiting to be let out of the ground.
  11. Just watching Shane's funeral on Sky news, Nick Cave's heart rending version of Rainy Night in Soho and various surviving Pogues and Dubliners turning the service into a party with a glorious uncensored Fairy Tale of New York really did bring a tear to the eye.
  12. One that went under the radar last week was the death of Killing Joke guitarist Geordie Walker.
  13. Some of the most riotous gigs I've ever been to, some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard. R.I.P Shane.
  14. Went to Hammersmith Apollo to see the Saw Doctors last night, crazy night which ranks up there with the best gigs I've been to.
  15. A new Beatles single, the Stones album at No.1, next I'll be hearing that Alan Dicks is our new manager!!
  16. Strawbs 'Grave New World ', still a blinder of an album more than 50 years on.

  19. Shame that the club haven't seen fit to post any tribute to a man who played over 200 games for us and is obviously fondly remembered by many.
