    Wow…..didn’t see that coming!!!

Going to be lots of twists and turns during the window - as others have said, if Scotty does go, can see it being right at the end of the window.

One thing is for sure, if this were to happen, I’d have every confidence in NP and Tinns having a replacement fully lined up…..unlike when we lost Webster!

I wonder if a deal’s already been done but they won’t announce it until we finish our transfer business.

If Scott went now, we’d be paying a premium on any future transfer.

As long as Scott is with his new club by preseason, any announcement before then would be pretty irrelevant for a premier league club.

His time was nearly up for him in a Bristol City shirt. But he has comeback and proved his doubters wrong, including me. Nigel Pearson has been a massive influence on his progression IMO. Love it

He deserves all the plaudits that he’s getting and it’s great to see a player develop at the club.

Might be contentious but I really like the way that Pearson holds the mirror up to players and challenges them to better themselves. If they improve, they get their chance to kick on again. Love it or hate it, I think that approach is going to drive out the soft underbelly that’s blighted us for years.

  3. I like Challis, he clearly has a good insight into the squad and like how he referenced a footballing identity being mirrored through the youth team an into the senior team. That bodes well for us in years to come.

Not a critique of any summarisers, but I do wonder if they can be truly honest about what they see in matches as they’re employed by the club. When things are going right, it’s easy to be spot on if you know your stuff. However, when things aren’t going right, I hate it when the commentary doesn’t reflect what is happening on the pitch. Wonder if there’s scope for ex city players/employees to offer a more objective view alongside current employees like Challis?

hi would you like to let me know what point i have missed sir

He’s not asking for sympathy because of his mixed heritage. He is asking for a broader BAME representation in the curriculum so that children have a greater understanding of their identities.

How is this petition for positive social change in any way linked to mistakes he’s made (and acknowledged) in the past?

I fail to understand why you have been affronted by such a sensible request. Why is this?

    tin hat on

bit rich i think coming from a violent man and former football thug, but lets feel sorry for him because he's neither  black or white and once again join the anti racist bandwagon.i would say the teacher that told him he would be dead in his 20,s was thinking about all the trouble he got into nothing to do with being black, brown tan or white but once again lets twist it into a racist remark.

Troy Deeney and Brennan were more serious than the other defendants.

In the 30-second video clip, the pair could be seen kicking out at the "defenceless" students, one of whom received repeated blows to the head as he lay injured on the ground.

i know this wont go down well but facts are facts.

You’ve completely missed the point of his letter, and come across as an idiot in the process. Your username is apt. Congratulations on that.

  6. No… An awareness of precisely this needs to transcend all of society. Even football.

Some people may be uncomfortable reading this, but it must be far more uncomfortable living it.

    Thank you for sharing.

I just sent my best friend a reminder we signed Ayling for pennies ???

Questionable quality at times in the PL but gives it everything and makes things happen.

To think that 6 years ago he was witness to Page 3 girls exposing themselves, and several League One players urinating over the barriers at the Cheltenham Gold Cup. It’s fair to say he’s matured well and made the most of his talent. Spoke well in the post match interview.

    Fair play!

Def agree - don't think you'll get any disagreement - but this is also in multiple other threads:

I know this has been widely referenced before, but it feels like his development is progressing at an exponential rate. I can’t think of anyone in recent times who has made such an impact at championship level, with the potential to perform higher.

  9. Looking at the assists table to date shows that Semenyo has had a significant impact in terms of goals/assists per game, when compared to higher profile Championship players.

Happy to be challenged, but he’s like looking like one of the most productive forwards in the Championship.

What level do you think he could get to?

  10. Seeing him gee up the crowd when we were in extra time showed that he understood the importance of the game. It also showed that he cares for the club. Hopefully he’s back on the bus, and the relationship has moved forward.
