  1. You’re right been a big move. His partner gave up her job at the BRI to move with him. They do however live in St Albans which is a bit nicer. I don’t think he misses his old man too much
  2. Go on then I’ll give an update. Hoped he’d have gone in there ripped it up but hasn’t quite panned out. Hamstring injury hasn’t helped but essentially Luton are an established squad with no injuries that are doing well. Joe has done well when he’s played (the twittersphere seem to like him) but not enough to make him a regular starter. There’s been no falling out Frustrating for me to see the injuries at City and say what if but no point in that really Nice to see you guys still think about him. All the best
  3. Don’t think there’s a regulation. There’s two sides to any contract and for a younger player on the up shorter contracts are often better than long ones. Rather than pay and rations I imagine he is looking for opportunity and pathway. Why go to another club to sit in the Academy teams (albeit with an extra couple of quid) when you can get real first team experience at City or out on loan.
  4. The truth though is he wasn’t as you call it bombed out. It’s more nuanced than that as I thought I’d explained. You don’t earn the shirt or not. Dean Holden didn’t call Joe into his office to say you’re out. Joe and him had a sensible discussion about would Joe play x or y percent of games. On that basis Joe could say I’ve got options so let me think about it and the club were able to assess whether Joe left a gap that was acceptable. I do get the impression that you need to not think that FIFA on the PlayStation is the reality.
  5. Luton are currently 3 points behind Bristol City after Bristol City have had their best start in lots of years
  6. Truth is none of us know whether Joe is good enough to play for Bristol City and now we will never know. The time when we should have found out is two years ago and I’m not sure why Lee Johnson didn’t give him a go but didn’t let him go on loan. Bristol City are happy for him to leave because they have lots of good quality central midfielders and Bakinson has done so well. They haven’t said Joe isn’t good enough. Luton Town (Nathan Jones) are delighted to have him “He ticks a lot of our boxes,” Jones began. “He’s hungry to do well and really wants to play first-team football
  7. Anyone who’s been away needs to be tested for Covid before going back into training
  8. The Ireland central midfielders play for Burnley and Villa.
  9. Do you have to see someone play to know they’re good enough. How many of Joe Williams games have you watched?
  10. Agreed. Think he’s more likely to play against Ireland now after being taken off tonight. We’d complain if he’d played the full game tonight and got injured
  11. But you said you were sure? Now you’re saying it is likely. Bit confused. I’m sure it was planned
  12. How are you sure? I’m sure it was a planned sub
  13. Can’t see him going to league 1. Be either Championship sale or loan
