  1. Yep, they basically wrote the season off before it started, and its why after 20 odd years we are no closer to the prem now than we have been since they took over.
  2. Agreed, to sell scott and reinvest limited funds but still finish with what will likely to be more points and potentially a higher place is realistically about as much as we could expect.
  3. Just switched on, my first thought is that niges body seems to have deteriorated, perhaps its a camera angle,,, i really hope hes ok
  4. Do you see any correlation with twine signing and conway being more interested in extending his contract?
  5. Sounds sensible to me, in the old days we would spend millions on players then never play them, bringing him in for not a lot to have a look at him seems like a good idea compared to what happened with engvall, szomdics et al.
  6. Manning just came out and said they were looking to carry out an investigation into it didnt he? For the whole club, not just for one player, he’s obviously mindless too compared to your all encompassing knowledge of everything.
  7. Arrghh, what a nightmare, whatever we are doing, its ruining him.
  8. Sone of his recent goals and assists have been excellent, i didnt see that coming at all at the start if the season, if he can work on when to release the ball at the optimal time he could really step up
  9. Me and my kids have been to a few games, they just havent got the squad to be competitive.
  10. Just watched their title clincher, 5-0 vs bremen… absolutely stunning football, 40 odd game’s unbeaten, wirtz is a world star and got a hat trick,, god help the rest of us if the Germans play like this in the euros!
  11. Most of that list is horrific!
  12. I figure his biggest impact is allowing knight to play in his best position, which makes us stronger in midfield. Injuries have done him in this loan spell, what i hoped was a key signing has fallen flat.
  13. Thanks! Doesnt make up for inflicting city on him though!
  14. I first got in to bovril during coaching sessions at the gate in the 80s, and its still my go to football drink,, and ive got my lad switched on to it,, bovril and a kitkat before kick off, love it!
  15. My other half is a stokie, i would expect the frequency of our romantic escapades will reduce significantly if we relegate them!
  16. Dunno, but i wouldnt be at all surprised if he scores at least one against us. Its 2 teams of average/ below average with one player who is having the season of his life.
  17. I saw a replay of the massing v caniggia “tackle” yesterday,, reminded me of poor ben white.
  18. The problem is that for 20 years there have continually been bad appointments, but now finally, we are going to get it right with a 3 year plan? No one has any faith that it will be sorted this time, least of all lansdown I suspect.
  19. Arsenal have had a very good season but ive not really blown away by saka playing for england, to the point you would say hes a star man like kane or bellingham and who would be key to us actually winning anything. I wouldnt say that foden, grealish or rashford have been at that level yet either though they are all clearly talented, and after seeing palmer last night he should certainly be in with a shout.
  20. Right,, so its not sanctimonious when you do it, ok.
  21. While disagreeing with my post a few weeks ago you started your reply with “Simon, simon, simon”,,, But you want to pull someone up for being sanctimonious and it not portraying them in the best light?
  22. It seems bird is much more of a james type player, so it would seem possible that he will be moved on…. It would seem likely that james is one of the higher earners too, and is obviously in his 30s now, its a big spot in the squad to fill, and bird has to be up to it, which they presumably think he is. ive never been a great fan of williams, not great technically, little goal threat, and is in there to provide the aggression. He obviously had a good month or 2 but is back on the bench now. Injuries have blighted him, and is probably a top earner too, i wouldnt be upset if he was moved on. presumably king is as good as gone.
  23. Quite interesting, i had to check who his father in law is though, george burley, the old ipswich manager.
  24. Hes a moron pal, just ignore him, makes the forum better.
  25. Yes, i liked the keeper and morrison too. Great effort from the boys, they gave everything
