  1. Yes,, after getting decent game time last year he’s disappeared completely.
  2. Agreed, I wouldn’t be busting to spend millions on twine at this point,,, shame, he was obviously the one the manning wanted, and lots of us did too, who knows how we might look now if he had been fit for the last month or 2!
  3. Weve had some shite down the years havent we!
  4. Clearly a talented lad, i would say hes closer to twine in style than knight is, perhaps moving him further forward would suit him more. Like others have said though, no one is exactly prospering at this point
  5. Thank god for dickie this season
  6. I like tgh, and hes young,, perhaps hes better suited to playing further forward with knight in a conventional midfield role, tgh is certainly technical enough to pick a pass.
  7. Haha, you are joking, would you quit a 200000 a year job to do that?
  8. Pearson went because lansdown wanted him gone, you don’t seriously believe tinnion could make that decision do you?
  9. The academy now has been at a level of organisation and performance that its not been that in probably for ever, to say that it hasn’t improved under the guidance of tinnion, regardless of what you might think of him now, is disingenuous
  10. Apart from his role at the academy, which has been hugely productive. And hundreds of games for the club.
  11. Yes, i agree, really enthused and knowledgeable, and clearly has had some success in that role.
  12. Is there likely to be an upfront loan fee for him
  13. I wonder how much twine is on compared to that, if its true?
  14. Presumably if we went down, and derby were inclined, they could make us an offer for bird, knight, or anyone else they might fancy.
  15. I dont think it will, swansea are the perfect opponent for us, like to get it down and play, which suits us as we can deal with that sort of game better, but they dont have the same quality as a Southampton and ipswich. Not saying we will definitely win, but in theory, they are exactly who we would want to be playing. Agree with someone else though, if we lose we are in big trouble.
  16. I like mccrorie for his get up and go attitude, hes an athlete,, but as it stands there isnt a lot of goal threat from any of our wing backs. as for naismith, he can pick a pass, but I believe he has another year on his contract, we should try to free up that salary for another striker
  17. Its not a bad idea, they need every possible advantage given their situation, i wonder if the atyeo could reasonably be divided up like that)
  18. I think we can discard anything bt or the lansdowns have to say about the quality of the squad, seeing as they were around to some degree when the crap squad was built in the first place, and are trying to get their propaganda out to justify their own positions! i have to say that manning was really let down in january, and the marquee signing he wanted came in and has contributed basically nothing. His possession tactics will only work with good players who are good on the ball, and losing twine, not having bird come in straight away, not signing the striker but adding mabude, has been a disaster. having said that, losing against the physical sides every game while playing the same way is very poor, what he thought would work this time is beyond me, though its not as if this hasnt been a problem for a while,, the squad just isnt up to those sort of challenges.
  19. Bright guy and is destined for a good career as a coach in the future, which is exactly why our lot wouldn’t consider it
  20. I certainly respect the way pearson got us through the financial mess, and the relationship he had with the squad he assembled, but just about everyone acknowledged it would be his replacement that would get the benefit of that work,, and no one can say he handled the owners with a lot of tact,, which is why he got fired. There is zero chance the lansdowns would have him back, and i doubt he would be desperate to come back if they wanted him to!
  21. Good luck to ipswich, fine club who are the latest in a long line to blitz past us, and who gave us 3 greats of english football, ramsey, robson (and osman). Would rather see them go up than leeds.
  22. Ipswich signed moore and alhamadi, either of those 2 could have come in and done a job for us?
  23. Its clear that manning signed a top championship number 10 and hasnt been able to play him, and the idiots in charge didnt sign the striker it was obvious we needed in January.. perhaps those 2, certainly twine being injured, has really impacted us and the way he wants us to play.
  24. About as much chance as we did against Southampton. Someone called me out when i suggested something similar the other day.
