  1. 2 playoff spots to play for. Who knows what could happen but we would be an outside shot right now. We aren't going down.
  2. Think id have semenyo from the left due to lack of options and his work rate
  3. I think that may be an issue of ours, we bought Massengo when he was playing further forward and have tried to play him either CM or CDM and i think his best position is more of a 8 or 10.
  4. Think our squad is crying out for 4231 at the moment, not sure why it hasn't been tried given such an appalling spell. Wells needs to play centre forward, he needs to have someone behind him willing to play balls from the start, id start palmer at 10, showed before he went out on loan that he has it in his locker, play those 2 for a run of games in those positions and see how it pans out.
  5. Have i missed something, is it common knowledge he is leaving? That would be a big loss, i personally think that we would be better off letting Afobe go with his injuries and cost of making it permanent know that we have bought Wells as they are more similar. Fam definately is a pain for defenders.
  6. This is better than I anticipated. Crazy that we bring a player in like this and then not look to play to his strengths, can only see it as an investment and LJ didnt actually want him, but to increase sell on price he will have to play and look good. Im really dissapointed he doesnt get a chance in a side that is screaming out for another creative outlet, maybe if Elliason had another player on the pitch that the defence had to worry about then he wouldnt get so marked out of games.
  7. Most decent managers would likely make that their starting attack with a wide right player and build around it, the amount of production that would produce with a solid base behind is crazy. I'd even let LJ have weimann wide right if he has to
  8. As it is its quite unlikely we are going to make the playoffs and if by some miracle we do, we will not be beating the teams that are currently in it, as they will inevitably has 75% of the ball against us and a solid defence can only hold out those sorts of waves of attacks for so long. I'd much rather we were 10th playing an exciting brand of football that enthuses the crowd. The atmosphere at home is so poor, mainly due to awful performances and never looking dangerous. Defending is fairly boring for fans to watch, especially when you dont have a lead to defend.
  9. Yeah we are just outside the top 6 but playing the style of football seen in league 2. I understand that its a results business to a degree, but if you think we deserve to be where we are then you are naive imo. We have had many 'lucky' results and have got lucky when we have dropped points that the majority of the teams around us have done the same. I love city and have said above that being embarrassed was the wrong wording, but although we are the highest we have been in terms of if we finish 7th, there is a trend of looking promising and then tailing off, this time the board have said here
  10. Haha yes granted embarrassed is probably a stretch, but people perceive us as being better than we are because of our league position. LJ has clearly lost a lot of the dressing room and why bring in 3 players in january 2 of which are tall and then drop them against millwall
  11. Yes we may be 7th, but there have been multiple times, such as yesterday, that we have been let off the hook. Didnt go, but watching the highlights it seems we only had one or 2 actual chances, the team was changed yet again, and yet again we are up against it. We have more than good enough players to control the ball against a millwall side who love to hit long. Quite frankly I think its embarresing and the fact we are 7th is becoming a boring argument. We are the worst team in this division to watch after spending a huge amount of money comparatively (yes, I know we had outgoings, but the bo
  12. My team tomorrow would be 4 2 3 1. GK - Bentley RB - Pereira - Hunt keeps getting played and isnt great. Would give pereira a go to actually work out if hes worth purchasing, looked alright earlier in the season when he got a game CB - Benkovic - We have clearly brought him in the start CB - Kalas - If hes fit, hes probably our best defender LB - Dasilva - Not many other options CM - Henriksen - Good player with rust, hopefully he can play that off in the next couple weeks CM - Smith/Rowe - If Smith is not fit, id bring in Rowe, its his favoured positi
  13. This is spot on. The football is so boring, we never dominate games and look dangerous. Not sure what happened, our style of play when Bobby was up front was the best ive seen for years. Loved every game, think there was a genuine buzz about the place. We always seem to try and negate what the opposition are going to do, we never play 'our way' and i genuinely don't know what our footballing identity is. We have some quality players, but it does feel like their ability gets coached out of them and they have to spend all of their time on the pitch worrying about defensive aspects. N
  14. Think this would be my side too, maybe with Henriksen and Benkovic in though. We need to be more pressing at home as we struggle to break teams down, this allows to press on the front foot and get after the ball. 3 at the back leaves our best player out of the team or not in his best position which is crazy to think. Unless LJ thinks he can play as the one in the hole, but then we have Pato and Palmer, really rate palmer and think wells movement may be beneficial to him. Think fam could be used more in away games or as a excellent option of the bench if things are work
  15. It's so close up the top end of the division, win Friday and we go third. I'm genuinely optimistic with a few big results we could sneak into the autos. We are now the in form team in the league (even if we did have to grind them out). Hopefully our signings can hit the ground running and give us more of a spark on the attacking end of the pitch, although in terms of goals we are fairly high in the division! Think Johnson et al noticed that out defensive record wasnt great, so looked to strengthen that in the window with Benkovic and Henriksen being a solid midfielder (dont know to
