  1. What I like about having vyner in a defensive 3 is that he is able to play full back, coming further up the pitch leaving 2 CB's back. If we're going to have 3 at the back, its good to have a player with the ability to be more attacking. With Kalas and Mawson holding the line, it would give vyner the option to move up and support Hunt without crippling our defence. It reminds me of Shaw at utd last season when they also played 3 CB's, with shaw at RCB having the ability to bring the ball down the wing and support their RWB. Havent seen him do it much recently, but I wonder whether he

  3. Why are we sitting off in defense? We've got a physically strong and imposing defense against a league 1 team and we're giving them all the time in the world to make easy passes. The defensive playstyle and coaching this season has been dire.
  4. I think our main problem is that we have excellent players that would be brilliant in the right team, but they dont really suit each others game style. Fammy would be an excellent false 9 if he had more striking options with him (could work if we bring in a new striker with weimann pushed out wider), Palmer needs players to run onto his through balls which isnt really fam or weimann and doesnt offer much defensively, and also could overlap with fammy in position as he tends to stay behind the front line. Elliason is excellent but only in the final 3rd, and requires a big player in the box
