  1. I still got the shirt with the Lancer Scott logo on the front and making Bristol proud on the right-hand shoulder. Size 4XL. Every time I get back to the UK I purchase from the city shop. My grand kids in Darwin wear City shirts on top off their body safety gear when doing motor cross. Be proud when wearing a city shirt, no matter where you live or how much shit you get from others or what era it relates too,
  2. Just watched the link. Some great football. 1965 wow I would have still been a baby in nappies. Love watching these old links.
  3. "ADMIRED"OMG. Nick must be thinking something different than football. He probably does not cherish him or be revered by Lee. Perhaps he loves him.
  4. This is a nice cider 6.9% proof, Just got a 375mm six pack for $20.00 Oz dollars. About 10quid. Six cans of mercury are about my limit. Reminds me of the old Carlsberg special brew many years ago in Bristol.
  5. I had a massage once and was in and out in less than two minutes. ?
  6. You were lucky to have met the great man. I hope you keep those FANTASTIC memories.
  7. Hi Dave, looks like he is worth 4 million euros according to some web sites. That is just the start of a transfer. Agree what would the be add Ons be!
  8. Always will be remembered as one of the greatest to ever put on a city shirt. John Atyeo will always be synonymous as one of the giants of our great club and along with it six England well deserved caps. RIP John
  9. Kids got me an engraved cheese board. Unusual to say the least.

Haha season 2024 - 2025. Next season the play offs but the season after automatic promotion. Well, that's what I dreamed about last night any way.
  12. So true Major. In past years well decades we have benefited from the quality that has come from Leeds either if you hate them or not.

I remember the first freight rover trophy finals which was my first visit to Wembley. I remember attending to two of them. Great years and great memories. I also remember thinking how we could fill an end of support in such a big stadium. We bloody well did it.

At least they got a club that gives some promise and have made the play offs. Play offs brings revenue to any club and supporters morale and also player's benefit. With Tarts drawers I hope we are on the up like a big, massive stalagmite next season as you know stalagmites go up and stalag tights go down. Looking forward to next season and COYRedsssssssssssssss.

Hi Port, just looking at the city history 1938-39 highest attendance was against the gas at 15,400, Then our history book by Woods and Crabtree has a mention of season 46/47 and the highest attendances were approximately 25K against Wrexkam and our highest again against the gas, Have looked at season 47/48/49 and the highest is against Notts County at 29K. Even season 76/77 at Coventry for us to stay up there were around 9K of us out of a total attendance of 36K I can't see anywhere we have had 40K plus. Whit to next season though as you lucky ones will be at wembley for the play offs and witness some home history.

JPT ? have I missed something maybe. On history and forgive me if I'm not correct we have never had 40K plus at a play off or any other Wembley event.

You would be proud if you are a Wednesday fan. 44k is a great number and shows what a club have to the history and stature of the club goes along way. Not sure if we have got to the high number of 44K anywhere. Barnsley have a lot of respect also in all football fraternities, but your post indicates that a great big club with history have a sleeping giant of supporters that pop out at a drop of a hat when potential success is not far away.
  20. I'm going back a bit now but season 76/77 at some away matches the atmosphere in the away ends where there were only a thousand or so of us at some and upwards of 5,000 at some others. Coventry away at the historic 2-2 draw is a highlight, Man U with the 1-1 draw away, QPR another. For some reason when we play well away the crowd noise from City supporters seems to intensify.
  21. Dave,Dave,Dave, come on cobber, you need to have a nice coldie. Top 2 - Fantastic. Top 6 - very good. Top half - OK. Bottom half - Poor. Relegated - Devastating and I'll need more medication.
  22. Well, if you don't know you must then be undecided! on the opinion stated, unless you really do know more. ?
