  1. Sensible choice if main targets not possible. Wouldn’t call it a panic buy, it would be a good fall back option.
  2. Group d game and a semi final
  3. My best mate is an arsenal fan and when I first told him we were linked with us he genuinely didn’t believe me as he thinks this guy is class and near the first team - and this was before he started the pre season form! would be a big coup, Tammy like...
  4. I am happy of course, but I cannot get my head around this one... He is 18 and played a few games in the CL and is a 'hot prospect', then he signs for a championship team and in his first interview talks about getting back into the CL. The only motivation I can see as possible, that I hope is true, is he is dropping down intentionally to try and play more games. Otherwise this just doesn't make sense to me... Fingers crossed we have a gem on our hands.
  5. The EP article mentioned Thierry Henry rated him highly when manager. Didn’t LJ do A training course / badge with him and remain matey? I seem to remember something about him and Johnson exchanging wassaps being stated in the press. Perhaps we got some info from Henry? 2+2 = 5
  6. to be fair, I dont think any of them would get in the Chelsea team so the article isn't that crazy. Its a win-win all round.
  7. I meant the photo, don’t begrudge him going there actually... it’s a career and all that.
  8. Lacking a bit of respect there (photo, not signing which I could forgive) - he knew it was meant to wind us up. Deserves the same level of respect when he comes back to AG. I wouldn’t have wanted him back as I think we have better players, however. modern day footballer, no class!
  9. I wonder how many Chelsea players will be give to Derby as first option now.....
  10. cracking deal on paper, but we need to recruit well. If JDS signs it will look an even better deal. Lets hope we negotiated a good sell on clause - much better for us than if he went to a 'big' club.
  11. WOW... They are lucky the gamble paid off. FFP !? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47453599 Wolverhampton Wanderers lost more than £1m a week during their Championship-winning campaign last season. Wolves recorded a pre-tax loss of £57.16m for the year ending 2017-18, more than double the £23.18m they lost in the previous 12 months. However, the club were promoted to the Premier League as title winners in Nuno Espirito Santo's debut season as manager. They also turned over £26.4m and had an increase of £1.3m in ticketing income. In a statement on the West Midlands club's website, the pre-tax loss was attributed to increased expenditure on players, wages, and promotion bonuses. Some of those signings include player of the season Ruben Neves and the loan acquisitions of Diogo Jota and Willy Boly. "Wolves' owners are committed to continuously improving the club, from both a footballing and wider operational and strategic perspective," said the statement. However, Wolves are showing no signs of a reduction in spending and the club have already spent £109m on players since being promoted to the top flight.

Clearly Fam has a good goal scoring record, but we are putting too much pressure on the guy, we have no plan B... shame we didn't get that extra stinker in during Jan (clearly we tried) - I fear we may still be discussing that in the summer!
  14. 14 games left, its possible... But play-offs would be a great achievement. Will be interesting to see how this team reacts to the next defeat....
  15. on paper, looking at squads and experience, they would probably be right. luckily football isn't played on paper!
