Interesting to note the article on the OS today, reminding people of tomorrows deadline (again!) but still no update on number sold…….

I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t end up extending the deadline veiled behind an excuse of “Due to some technical issues caused by the relocation of fans from the south stand we have decided to extend the deadline date to ensure all our loyal fans have the fullest opportunity to secure their seat” blah blah blah 🤪

  2. Managers hide behind a set of set answers to what is typically the same set of questions. If they deviate from that - aka Troy Deeney - they usually get the sack. As much as we would like managers to speak the truth - we can’t handle the truth! 🤣

Pay him as you would do one of your top tier earners.

27 years old (28 in Dec), get him signed up for 3 years (at worst 2+1).  Treat it like a free transfer, because that is what it is.  He’s a top half championship performer.  I don’t think you’ll bring in as guaranteed a performer for the overall cost.  At his peak years.

Even if we made him a top earner there will be clubs prepared to pay him more and also prepared to give a large signing on fee. It will come down to how much he likes the area and the club IMO. If he were under contract what do you think his market value would be? At 27 I would think it would be at its optimum so he may look to convert this as a signing on fee. He’s really stepped up this season and looks like the player we were told we were signing. Hope he stays as he brings something to the team that none of the others midfielders do.

  4. Went to a restaurant once and bought what I thought was a lovely meal. I hoped it would satisfy me and fill my hunger.  Turned out it was sh@te and I didn’t finish it. Luckily I had the option having paid for it to not finish it and leave. Football is very much the same.

  5. I love it when we have a storming victory. Unable to direct their anger at the manager, players and after two pens awarded not even the referee, I like nothing more than to sit back with some popcorn and watch the OTIB community turn in each other to blow off some steam. 🤣

I've never seen a football manager file for wrongful dismissal before but if they've both agreed to a 5 year plan and he's achieved it in 3, he should be all over it!

I’ve often thought this. I suppose it’s different in the world of contracts which are then paid up but in any other industry you would walk away with a pay out which I suppose in a way they do.  Would or rather could be a very interesting case to follow if it went to court.  I think the same about young drivers being charged a higher premium for car insurance. Any other walk of life that’s discrimination based on a characteristic and would not been allowed.

Never heard of that club before, but my god, now I really want them to suffer back to back relegations and end up back where they started.

I might check that in a few years to see if that happens, there's probably a good chance it will!

    Hey Alexa - set a reminder for April 9th 2027. 🤣

Congratulations, but you have to feel for the Rovers fans. Their fan base is so small now that it is barely genetically viable.

Yet explains so much! Would be great on the piano though.

    Congratulations 👶
