  1. Im not saying we're prime Barcelona but Semenyo - bags 20 goals for nearly all the sides in the division A confident Massengo - runs rings around mid table and below teams Scott - starts in his correct position for any side in the league Kalas - internationally appears to be a prem standard player, so he has something, why cant Pearson find it? JD, Pring, Williams, Bentley, - start for 75% of Champ clubs Confident Vyner, Confident Atkinson, Confident Wells, who knows, even confident Palmer? - solid championship players Underperforming players that all being well get this side pushing for more than top half. Why aren't they?
  2. with players such as Jamie Vardy and Danny Drinkwater at second division level, ive backed him long enough but these aren't terrible players, we've seen masses of quality from them, and he's not got the best out of any of them. None. Don't blame the players

    Wells

An obviously talented player who realistically should start for us, but feel anything between now and the end of the season is just playing for a better transfer move and would rather see game time to Conway or sticking with what we've got.
  4. okay mate few deep breaths. My interpretation of some of his previous post match interviews have been he has a lack of belief and positivity in the players straight after the 90. Today he was positive (for obvious reasons) and gave some praise to players. not a horrendous point even if you disagree with it.
  5. Since he's been in charge I've been the first one to critiscise his post-match interviews, especially after disappointing results with, to me, a constant repetition of shrugging and saying "we weren't up for it today" and his calling out of players being a bit of a frustrating one as a fan to take in. The general consensus on here has been positive to his post-match thoughts with claims of them being "refreshing for a manager to come out and say it like it is" - but today we had a properly refreshing and encouraging post-match. Positivity to players, appreciating performances, accurately assesing the game and giving a view of how the performance fits in the long-term. Very much a breath of fresh air interview. Impressive stuff from Pearson.
  6. that's a fair point but as a young player with his confidence at what looks like an all time low I am wondering if he could do something different with him to boost his performances. It's an interesting one
  7. Out of form and by the looks of it to me, very much out of confidence. I think Nigel's very outward style of man-management suits some of our players, but HNM is not one for me. A player of his talent needs to be nurtured as opposed to openly criticising him. Looking at his reaction when Han makes a mistake, he is very demanding of him which I think could be down to his appreciation of him as a talent but he's incredibly harsh on the lad for his age imo. This is my interpretation but who knows what things are like behind the scenes
  8. Why would he be? He has the quality required to win this game and he's taken off instead of Martin, bit of a joke really.
  9. It genuinely astounds me how they are 5th in the most prestigious league in world football, an they still find a way to complain more than Bury and Macclesfiel fans ever did.
  10. who then? I couldn't see many out there today. Perhaps with the exception of Martin (who still scored in fairness) there isn't a lad who played in that game I'd like to see leave the club.
  11. One of the most self distracting players I've come across, can be different gravy for 90 minutes and throw it all away in one reckless moment. Infuriating.
  12. Hard worker, seems to have his head screwed on and bags of ability. Could be a premier league starter in a couple of years.
  13. Bet it's properly annoying for the players who've just conceded a late winner for some little shits to come begging for their shirt. Needs to stop.
  14. what we've been missing for years and only going to get a shit ton better. Can see this lad easily reaching the Harvey Barnes, Jarrod Bowen level or higher. Hell of a job to keep hold of him now though.
  15. On a side note it shows the positive energy around the club that something like that happens which makes a change
  16. Id say Scott, Semenyo, Massengo, Weimann, Pring, Williams, Bentley and Kalas are players capable of playing in a side pushing for top 6. Personally I'd cash in on Massengo for £10m or so and build a lot of the squad with that cash and any scraps we can get for the likes of Wells and the other deadwood.
  17. My point though is what good is it doing for said players? probably none. If they're as spineless as he makes out slagging them off won't ignite them at all it'll just make the environment around the club worse and worse, an environenment someone like a Massengo may not want to be part of in future.
  18. Pretty bang on, he's not the main source of our problems, but the way he says it you'd think he has no connections with the club. He needs to stop shirking responsibility and blame and maybe take it a bit easier on our young players, slagging the off in the press is very shit man management imo.
  19. Proper manual manipulator - glad he's as far away from Bristol as possible now just to be clear "manual manipulator" was not my intended word
  20. Can't imagine having morons like these on twitter who probably spend their lives worshipping Greenwood helps. Some of these are disgusting.
  21. Can see him dipping into the Championship as he did with the likes of Tomori and Mount, and maybe targeting HNM. Can see a bid for Han-Noah from them tomorrow if they don't get Van De Beek.
  22. And how do you suggest we do that? Checked our finances recently? This reply is exactly my point
  23. Already got masses of comments saying "he's not good enough" and the usual bollocks of "league one at best". For the life of me I can't fathom why our fanbase is so bloody keen to write him off. Last season he took masses of responsibility playing as a sweeper in central midfield, consistently picking passes and allowing a pathway from defence to midfield, and then a transition to attack. Something that ridiculous signings like Lansbury and Brunt didn't do, but no it was our right/centre back who'd only played half a season of Championship football. This season, he's played in patches, mostly in 3 and done (for me at least) majoritativilley well, but is a scapegoat when we concede a high quality late goal, when the midfield are nowhere to be seen. I'm not saying he's the messiah, but if you didn't know financially we're in deep shit, and can't go out buying a £5m replacement, who, yeah, would probably be an upgrade on Zak, but we don't have these sort of options, so I'm asking why are we rushing to get him out the picture, its not like we're brimming full of better options. Against Luton I'd argue he was our best player, and I really like him in a 3, and even midfield. Again he's not the messiah, but get some perspective please instead of saying you'd never like to see him in a city shirt again.
  24. Love your ambition, but we need a sense of realism, I'd be content with a top half finish next season, but can sort of see where you're coming from. We need to go up in the next few seasons, or we won't in the next 30 years for me. It's a weak division, so can see some curveball promotions coming in the not so distant future, but please don't make this the expectation at the club.
