  1. I wouldn’t be too upset if we sold him for a decent fee. As good as he can be with the ball at his feet, his off-ball defending makes me cringe. He gets screened far too easily and is pretty naive at times.
  2. Hayden Mullins is nothing more than the replacement for a kamikaze pilot who tried to not crash. I’d also happily sift through another 90 pages of puns before taking Robbie Fowler.
  3. Really torn with Eliasson. On the ball he has the ability to be one of the best players in the league.... but off the ball, he can be the worst and an absolute passenger. A move to Celtic would be perfect for him. No defensive qualities needed up there.

    Steven Gerrard

Maybe through the agent links, we’ve found out about some kind of release clause? It would help make the finances stack up?

    Steven Gerrard

And as Bristolians, that’s exactly how we pronounce it.
  6. Just found it a bit silly, wanting a thread to stop yet continuing to post in it. Edit: changed for the confused emoji, maybe makes more sense

    BRENTFORD

I have a lot of time for Brentford and how they’ve done things but purely from a selfish perspective, i’d like Leeds and WBA to go up with Fulham winning the playoffs. Leeds and WBA will always be strong in the championship, as will Fulham. I could see a few of Brentford’s players going if they fail to get promoted. This season has almost been the perfect storm for them and I’m not sure if they could repeat it without Watkins, Mbueno and Benrahma - if they were to leave.

    Has a manager...

3 characters there for sure. Shouldn’t be surprised to see their names to be fair. I shall take a look.
  9. With the possibility of us waiting to see if other clubs are relegated with their respective manager resigning/being sacked.... Has any manager ever been relegated, left the club and then gained promotion the very next season with a different club?

    MR LOWE

    Convincing argument. He’s our man.
  11. Gary Neville made a career out of being a 7/10 every week. 7/10 to me says reliable and consistent. Don’t think we’re there yet with our squad.
  12. I think I menetioned this in the Jay thread but I do believe his presence helps both Kalas and Jay. He almost has a calming influence on Kalas, much like Webster did. He also helps set Jay away down the left with his appreciation of when and where to give him the ball. Baker treats the ball like a hot potato and which often results in Jay receiving it with his back to goal or needing an extra touch to get under control.
  13. Similar to Jay, I think Kalas looks better with Benkovic next to him as well

    Steven Gerrard

Appleton has come out and denied the links. Which probably means he’s about to put some money on himself https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-citys-next-manager-lincoln-4330813
  15. He was superb today. Having Benkovic on his inside with his pass appreciation helped. Whereas Bakers passes are often behind him, fired at his right foot or around his throat.
  16. The difference now is we look capable of scoring even when not firing 100%.
  17. Crazy what having the managers trust can do to players. I’d fully expect KP to put in a hugely improved showing, if he makes an appearance before the end of the season.
  18. Or the more likely scenario of us appointing a Ryan Lowe and finishing bottom half and then watching Fulham take Hughton and go up. Any managerial appointment is somewhat of a gamble. I suppose it’s just a case of how far we’re willing to go to shorten our odds of promotion.
  19. I imagine It’s Appleton who is holding things up. Waiting to see if we are in the Prem before demanding more money
  20. Pretty sure every fan forum around the country is exactly the same when a manager has been sacked. We all speculate and try to piece together scraps of information we find or rumours we hear. Some are credible but most are nonsense. We get excited when some names are mentioned and scared to death when others are. This is the ride we are on and people sharing what they have heard is part of the fun.

    Lloyd Kelly

I was actually pleased when we sold him. We got a great fee for him and I thought the timing for us was right. I was slightly worried that LJ was so invested in his development that it would hurt the team going into the new season. He made a lot of mistakes and cost us goals at times. He undoubtedly has a lot of potential but as with a lot of young players, he’s very inconsistent at the moment and unfortunately he’s trying to learn his trade in poor team. I also believe his raw ability and physical attributes are currently way ahead of his decision making and the mental side of the game.
