A fair few. My favourites were a firm of solicitors called Coles, Carey and Hill, and a company called Golborne and Carey who had premises on Ashton Rd.

We actually played that for the first time when we lost 6 nil to Cardiff. It came on as the ground was almost empty and everyone seemed to find it quite amusing. Unfortunately when we tried it again after that relegation game, Tim put it on immediately after the game finished, when SOD and the players were still pitchside. They were underwhelmed to say the least . There were repercussions!

Respect to Tim, who made some great contributions to the pre match music mix, but all of those were actually my picks. I used to love coming up with relevant music choices, some of which were more popular than others.

That recent Cardiff game was abysmal, but one of the worst home performances I can remember was a 4-2 defeat to Chesterfield during GJ's post hand grenade period. The only time I have ever left a football match before the end http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/4431088.stm

I once had a review as a young actor that said 'David Lloyd sounded eerily like Eric Sykes but was nowhere near as funny.' Fair comment really. -

As I say at the start of the podcast I didn't know whether to open a vein or a bottle of red after that performance. I opted for the wine. Enjoyed the chat though. -
That was Keith Draisey. Keith received a request from West Ham asking if they could bring their bubble machine. He said he would check and get back to them. He raised it at a pre match planning meeting. Myself, Adam and several others thought it was a very bad idea. Keith got back to WHU and told them no. Not quite sure how the Sun got involved, but I do seem to remember that a simple operational decision turned into a massive OTIB meltdown conspiracy theory.

I don't think I have ever read a more accurate summary of how this place works.

Can't claim credit for that one -
I think you will find that covers 90% of the posts in this forum

Superb player. I was a student in Manchester in 78/79, living in a house a stone's throw from Maine Rd. Would often see Colin Bell pounding the streets as he tried to get fit again after a long injury. He was never the same player sadly. He was worshipped by Man City fans. They'd say 'if I came home and found my missus in bed with Colin Bell, I'd make him a cup of tea'.

Preston North End (a) – Fri 18th Dec 19:45 – What Can We Expect?
Dave L replied to Aipearcey's topic in Football Chat
Bentley Mawson Kalas Baker Sessegnon Williams Walsh Dasilva Paterson Diedhou Weimann Some team that. Except only Bentley and possibly Kalas will be available. Look at the quality of players we are missing this season. With that in mind, it's a miracle that we are 8th. Yes, the last two performances have been unacceptably poor, but they need to be seen in context. Two consecutive wins won't make us promotion contenders, just as two consecutive defeats doesn't mean we're doomed. Happy Christmas. -
Those new to this forum may have looked on with some confusion over recent weeks, and as a long term user myself, I thought it might be useful to clarify the meaning of some of the often repeated phrases on here, particularly in recent weeks. The cheap option: £30m annual wage bill, and a total investment of £123m. Yes man: Someone who can work as part of a team to a mutually agreed plan. Puppet: See ‘yes man’. Football man: Someone who has worked in football for their entire working life in a variety of capacities, both as player and administrator, is hugely respected wit
