  1. Seems to have been awarded to Wells. Already over the line?
  2. Good opportunity to see what we’re made of. Chocolate or Granite. edit Granite
  3. Playing really well. We look a decent side. Deserve to be a couple up.
  4. This illustrates @ExiledAjax’s point about second in xG. Coupled with our chance conversion that is quite a potent combination.
  5. I agree that was poor. But on the plus side he didn’t misplace a single pass either.
  6. ?Semenyo’s so fast he can bend space time. ? Not sure it will catch on.
  7. Time does slow down the faster you travel due to momentum bending the fabric of space time. However I doubt @cidercity1987 is quick enough to make it happen.
  8. Your first sentence is correct. Your second would only be correct if we kicked off at 16.45 in the first game and at 15.00 in the “third”. Using your example a week from 15.00 one Saturday is 14.59 the next and we haven’t kicked off yet. Yes I know?
  9. It really does, because it’s one of the rare occasions that it is true.
  10. Following on from the thread about the phrases that annoy on OTIB I thought I would share my fury at the now common assertion that teams play 3 times a week. There are 7 days in a week. Playing Saturday, Tuesday/Wednesday and then Saturday is twice a week, the 7 day period ends on Friday!!! Am I in a minority of 1? (Won’t be the first time.)
  11. Excellent post imo. I think you’re right about me classing it as a turning point. I was feeling a little giddy with the performance. The forward play, defensive resilience and togetherness was something I haven’t seen for a quite a while. I am very pro Pearson and think he is turning round the tanker. It has taken longer than I hoped, but last night gave me a glimpse of what he is trying to produce for us on a consistent basis. The intensity and energy in our play reminded me of his Leicester team. We are not there yet, and there will be bumps for sure, but I felt like I had glimpsed into our future and it was brilliant. I am hopeful that performances like that will help turn some of the naysayers. I may also have had a few beers.
  12. Positive performances all over the pitch. Really hard to single anyone out. Well done boys.
  13. Felt like a huge night to me. Not only the way we pressed and moved the ball, but the resolute defending and the way we stood together. Also a connection with the crowd who enjoyed the boys giving it everything. Even the sending off may have helped as it really helped to foster that togetherness. Lots of fantastic performances. A brave selection that some ripped into before the game. Well done NP. Really looking forward to Sunday. COYR.
