  1. Pretty sure a few of our players over the years have worn these
  2. It can’t be a match day either because there are no parking problems
  3. I can see SuperDziek HQ on there which was built in the early 20’s from memory. I think the houses on Smyth, for example were built early 30’s so that narrows the timeframe a bit - can you confirm @CyderInACan?
  4. 38 players and still I got nowhere near the squad. Think it’s time to consider giving up on the dream.
  5. Presume there was nothing about box entries as it was before the 9pm watershed
  6. Stuart Naylor was called Jigsaw I think, because he went to pieces in the box!
  7. Could have been. Was also called Elvis I think? Robbie Turner called Carnage as well?
  8. Joe Jordan wasn’t a renowned coach in 89/90. Should have referenced them as renowned characters rather than coaches.
  9. The Ashton comment is interesting. Thought SL might have been the one headhunting rather than him.
  10. He’s ex City, and his old man is a City legend. Although as @petehintonsays below, his time at Swindon taints the memory of him!
  11. Who did he sign at Chesterfield and what was his total spend? Genuinely interested. I see after he left, they appointed the likes of Dean Saunders so no wonder they slipped down the leagues after he left.
  12. Christ, when you look at the list of available players, it doesn’t make for good reading! For me, it’s a toss up between Massengo and Bakinson. And I’d have Palmer in there instead of Lansbury. Other than that, I’d agree with that team. Pretty depressing really that it’s come to this.
  13. And working hard. Because they are going to work REALLY hard. Every day. Wonder what they’ve been doing before.
  14. Cotts did pre match presser on a Thursday and was given the Spanish archer that evening. With LJ, seemed the board had already decided he’d be sacked if we lost to Cardiff. Whilst were in bad form, I doubt the board would have discussed acting if we lost 6-0. Would have though a board meeting over zoom would be necessary tonight before any decisions made. Maybe a decision tomorrow.
  15. Yep. Sacking Holden ultimately achieves nothing as another management puppet will be put in place. the club needs a complete restructure from top to bottom - until that happens, we’ll continue to fail.
  16. But what is your Twitter username?
  17. Ex Arsenal youth. Can think of Andy Cole, JET, Gus Caesar and Jordan Wynter. Bit hit and miss! Must be others in recent times?

Come on @CyderInACan put some effort into it - JWR is a doddle

    Runners!

Great work everyone! Having fallen out of love with running quite quickly during lockdown 1 and enjoying the gyms being open again, lockdown 3 has seen the enjoyment of running return! So far, I’ve clocked 40 miles for the month since the day of lockdown beginning. Having only sporadically run outdoors in months, I’m pretty chuffed with that. Not bothered about the speed at the moment, just getting miles into the legs and enjoying being able to get out and clear my head from the stresses of homeschooling etc. Ran up Bridge Valley for the first time ever yesterday. Boy, what was
  20. Only two more Watford managers til christmas
  21. Would be quite happy with the entire 89/90 team. Don’t care about their age (although Dave Smith might need to add a bit of guile to his game as I doubt he can rely on pace alone now).
  22. Going back to the original post, me and @CyderInACanhad a family wedding to attend that day. Stinking hot as some have pointed out, so not pleasant wearing trousers and a blazer even as a 10 year old. Fond memories of the two of us being huddled together with our dad and grandad (both of whom have watched from the best seats in the sky for 21 and 29 years respectively) in the car in the car park during a break in proceedings to tune into Radio Bristol to listen to the game. We won 4-2 with Super Bob getting a brace, and Morgan and Aizlewood getting the others. Still gutted that we ended up
