  1. "The result isn't important..." Well if they can't raise themselves against Cardiff....
  2. If I hung one of my bed sheets out, that would drive anyone out of Bristol
  3. Do if the replay is still level after extra time, presumably the tie has to be resolved on penalties. I imagine Swansea will be given 5, we won't be given any.
  4. Reminds me of a bad experience in a lay-by on Tog Hill once
  5. I don't know why the game has to be stopped for a sub. Ice hockey has it right. Play on, the replacement can't enter the field of play until the subbed player is deemed to have left it by the 4th official. Meanwhile everybody gets to watch what they have paid for, football - not the slow walk of doom...
  6. Shhhh! If any refs read that, freekicks will join penalties on the "not to be awarded to Bristol City" directive....
  7. Though frustrating to lose, there are a small number of players over the years that you come to realize are too good for us and we can't hang on to. Andy Cole, Bob Taylor, Shaun Goater, Josh Brownhill all examples where they were bound to end up on a bigger stage - soon to be joined by Alex Scott. I don't like it but get it. What really boils my piss is the players we lose for nothing with obvious talent that we never utilised. And as an aside.... Fancy having Danny Rose on loan for 6 months as an unused winger in a team desperately missing anyone who could play left back....
  8. The sad thing about that game at Leeds was that someone did give him a pass. It rolled under his foot for a throw in.
  9. To be fair, who in their right mind would want to leave early if you lived in Newport?
  10. It is pretty savage of City to be giving players these negative pay rises during the cost of living crisis. There has to be a real risk the players follow the nurses, train drivers, border forces etc and go out on strike. Oh, hang on a minute, I get it now....
  11. I hope they have been doing their homework for Millwall on the training ground over the last few days. For example, getting in the builders and giving them a free reign to batter our players with hobnail boots, spades and pickaxe handles. On and off the ball. Maybe recruit the partially sighted foreman to ref too.
  12. I couldn't find MK Dons ....then spotted them under "La Franchise Robbeur de Milton Keynes". Havant and Waterlooville are listed as "Havant".....
  13. Simple challenge... Name a current player Pearson has playing either at or beyond his ability over the last 2 months. I only have Conway, and he is moving in the wrong direction lately... Never mind squad or results - Who is ruining our players??
  14. Before the break, Scott was the most fouled player in all 4 leagues. If he gives a bit back then he gets my admiration. Rather have that than a nice guy who goes missing. He is a fantastic player. So I agree with the original poster he shouldn't be playing for us.
  15. I don't see what benefit is to be had with playing any rugby team. We would be much better off targeting a premier league team to play.
  16. The guy running the VAR took the same stand today
  17. Would be awkward if the protest were disrupted by a protest and there is a rail strike that day....
  18. This isn't sustainable. If he keeps putting academy players in the first team, who the hell is going to clean the boots?
  19. I don't go to football for the thrill of carefully considered decisions drawing on all the evidence available, assessed in a measured and balanced manner. I go to Weston Magistrates court for that.
  20. Horse racing? Don't they test the horses??? Ban them for life and send them to the glue factory. Cheating nags.
  21. No. We will simply have an extra set of officials to moan at. We really get naff all our way at home. Bizarre.
  22. I hope there is some money available to buy some loud fans in the January transfer window. Seems that makes such a difference we would be daft not to prioritize that over new players.
  23. Can we bring back muddy pitches, heavy boots, laced balls and plague? Ah, the good old days....
  24. Christ. I've done more damage to the traps than that after a night on Guinness and Madras. Come on Swansea, man up. Game's gone .
  25. Anyone give 2 ####s about those couple of hundred longstanding season ticket holders currently located in block A? Just kick them out, move in the singing crowd and drop the prices by a tenner? Bit harsh???
