  1. For info. I am one of eight in our group of season card/ticket holders.

Two of these are cards. Once delivered, I then downloaded them in my phone.

I got ‘that’ email saying the card won’t be delivered… though it had; so it was a poorly worded generic email.

Yesterday the card worked fine and I still have the e-card on my phone.

So I have 2x seats on either a card or phone which will both work, using one of the two options per match ?

It's been repeated over and over again that any money made WILL NOT be reinvested in new players

I am amazed so many people continue to not understand this

I know what’s been said. However that doesn’t mean it won’t happen.

Anyone from the club can say whatever they like to the press. Doesn’t mean it’ll reflect actual plans or intentions.

And despite what’s been so say declared when Scott is sold, I’d be more surprised if there weren’t incomings.

You have to remember that selling for big money will alert any clubs in advance if we were to start bidding.

I was referring to the post above (not yours) which said:

“got a plastic card but also got an email to say I can't use it as I downloaded the digital version”

Yea that’s incorrect info. The email was what I quoted. I think they misinterpreted the information.

If anything, the email is poorly composed as if they hadn’t yet sent any physical cards out. I've got no reason to believe entry cannot be gained one way or the other.

See above though - people have received emails saying that because they have downloaded the digital card, the plastic card won’t work

The email doesn’t say that. It says that if you’ve downloaded the season card, then a physical card won’t be posted.

However, I did not download any season cards until the physical ones were delivered.

I would fully expect one or the other will work only once per match. So if I scan on my phone, the card won’t work and vice versa. Same as any other ticket used for entry.

    Email:

Please note as a supporter that has requested a physical season card and successfully downloaded your Digital Season Ticket to your Apple or Google Wallet, you will not receive a physical card.

Requesting a physical card was strictly for supporters without a smartphone. By downloading your Digital Season Ticket successfully, you do not require a physical season card.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming you to Ashton Gate soon.

I have the exact same problem - got a plastic card but also got an email to say I can't use it as I downloaded the digital version on the advice of BCFC to test last Thursday. I knew it wouldn't work but went through the process just to prove it and now I have no means of entering the ground.

An over 65 has a season card posted mainly as a backup, because if I cannot make a match, he has a card. If I am able to attend, his season card is on my phone.

Surely both ways can still work?

I didn’t download his season card until his plastic version arrived…. Then I got the email today.

But my understanding is that their email does not suggest the card won’t work?!

I emailed Jerry the other day having not had my rewards goods turn up after 3 months and the club were ignoring my emails. Not the most important thing going on I’m sure.

But within 20 minutes I’d had a response from Jerry and the club

Out of curiosity, what was the response? I’m still waiting on one or two things!

Any suggestions for an Italian central (ish) to meet some friends in August. It has to be kid friendly (3 and 2 year old). Was thinking la grotto, many Friday lunch time spent there , but understand now closed. Last time in Bristol we were taken to Prezzo and it was shit . Any independent recommendations would be welcome

If you don’t need to be in Bristol centre:

    Italian Kitchen, Hanham.

If you’d rather be in Bristol, then Don Giovanni’s for sure:

Both are very reasonably priced and I’ve enjoyed many good meals of a variety at both ?

So, I’ve bought the new keeper shirt, the pink one. When they were first announced I liked the look of it and the Mrs gave me an IOU for it’s release.

    Initial thoughts:

Material feels just like most football shirts, lightweight “shiny” feel to it similar to the Hummel shirts.

The badge is sewn on not printed, can’t see much difference to last years Hummel shirts there.

The fit is a bit off. I’ve gone for a large which is same as I had last year. I’ve got biggish arms, so may not be an issue for everyone but the sleeves are tight and the collar feels tight too, bit worried about stretching it when I take it off.

It comes up quite long for me, I’d rather it was a little bit shorter but I don’t think the arms would fit if I’d gone medium. The fit is a bit like the bristol sport shirts from the pinstripe year and the white away shirt that had the old robin - they were both too long but too tight on the sleeves to go a smaller size.

    Return it.

    Sounds shit tbf.

Go in any home end new, and anybody asks the time or where you are from, a Alaskan accent nobody's bothering you, probably break the ice tbf

Nice pun, even if unintended ?

I don’t think it’ll be too much trouble to get a ticket for the Cardiff match btw.

  10. I was a stoppage time goal away from winning over £13k from a £1 bet back when Yeovil made it to the Championship on the open day of the season.

Even had them to beat Millwall away and they did.

The stoppage time goal came from a Leeds equaliser if I remember correctly. This was checked while walking back to my car after watching City and I don’t think cash out was an option, hence why I didn’t check in-game.

It was a 14 game accumulator!
