  1. Not really sure training or stadium facility improvements are one you can use to knock SL to be honest… How many home games in the last 20 years have been postponed due to a frozen pitch?
  2. So with such a difference in the way footballers trained, etc it would make sense to differentiate the eras. Maybe we could use the rebranding of the top division as the marker for the modern era? They were crap!
  3. It's common for records to be grouped into smaller/more recent increments to give it some context i.e. last 5 years, 10 years, since the Premier League began, post-war, etc. Not sure why so many people get upset about it. To be fair, if todays strikers got to shoot against the goalies of that time, they'd all get 50 a year easily.
  4. I wouldn’t trust our medical team to administer a plaster let alone deal with any type of injury or infection!
  5. But if England had scored 4 more they would have won convincingly.
  6. Imagine @Davefevs trying to explain one of his stat graphics on radio! I struggle to understand them when I can actually see them! ?
  7. I’m in Buckinghamshire and playing for the work football team tonight. We all generally wear a football teams shirt so we have; 1 Bristol City 1 Derby 2 Spurs 1 West Ham 1 Man U 1 Shrewsbury 1 Rugby top of I don’t know who 1 Celtic 3 Watford 3 Arsenal and 1 guy wears a different knock off shirt each week. He had Chinas shirt last time I saw him!
  8. I can tell from the change in font size that you had to copy and paste the word 'exaggeration' because you didn't know how to spell it. That is why I am unsurprised you are defending someone who admitted giving a man and young children 'dogs abuse'.
  9. I like the fact that after 60 mins we can replace the whole of the front 3 and still have a forward line many could say is our first choice! Start with Bell Wells Cornick Finish with Mehmeti Conway Sykes Will be interested to see how Andi gets on. Playing deeper than when he scored all those goals for us, so will need to be disciplined out of possession and quick to support the front guys.
  10. I always liked how quick he was in the box while others were static from set prices. I remember a couple of goals at MK Dons when they were at the Hockey Stadium as well as Brentford where he seemed to zip about everywhere before anyone else had moved to bundle the ball over the line anyway he could.
  11. Wilson’s fault. He was always a conference manager
  12. World doesn’t revolve around Robbored shocker.
  13. I’m not sure I understand the wording for the 1st question. Is it which ex City player scored his first goal at Ashton Gate while technically not being a home or away team? Would suggest a neutral venue so maybe an u21 or younger international game? What ex youth internationals have we signed? Tammy maybe?
  14. I'm sorry but if Scott stays he is winning the Balon D'Or.
  15. In terms of musical royalty I may trump you all… I saw B*Witched’s first ever performance in England. They came to my primary school and did a few songs as a warm up before their first show in London. I was 9 or 10, never been to a ‘gig’ before, didn’t know what to do, so I ran to the front and started crying.
  16. Just had to read up why 88 is banned. I doubt the FA will, it’s not as much of an issue over here compared to Italy.
  17. I’m amazed at how many experts on football transfers and how they work we have on here!
  18. I must be an outlier because I really don’t care who wins the race, I just like to see some interesting battles between drivers and teams throughout a race or the season. This year I have found interesting with Aston Martin, Ferrari, Mercedes generally battling it out for places 2-8 with some random Haas or Alpine doing well on a suited track and now Mclarens update seemingly doing great for the last two tracks and will it continue. Skys coverage before hand with the group they have and the pieces they do with current drivers, ex drivers, teams are alway interesting, I like the dynamic of David Croft (excitable, has a few Murrayisms) and Martin Brundle. Ted’s notebook is well worth a watch just to see some behind the scenes stuff after the race.
  19. I think if we get Knight AND keep Scott we’ll see some more rotation with the central midfield meaning we won’t need to flog James (whose a year older), Williams (with his crisp packet hamstrings) and Naismith who may be required to fill in at CB every so often. Looks like some Derby fans saying Knight can play behind the front 3 I.e where Scott plays so also gives him a rest/replacement.
  20. Well that’s the biggest over reaction I’ve seen on here for a while!
  21. Yeah you are right, I guess the running drill is all about fitness and just running back and forth at a constant speed for a long period which would be less stressful on his knees in comparison to a contact football drill where he’ll be turning and change sprint speeds more often where he has a greater chance of doing it again. At least he’s out there though!
  22. Also for that running test it looks like Wells & Andi + a couple of younger kids were the best so he’s obviously still very fit for one of our older players. Andi you’d expect to be at the top of any long running stats. As he seemed to be taking part in that running test I’d guess he’s not too far away.
  23. Best bit is later on he picks out the ‘big game down the Mem where it’s likely to be rocking’ for them to attend as… Port Vale…
