  1. As far as the 10 year season ticket - Wasn't offering something along those lines, one of the contributing factors into Rangers' financial meltdown?
  2. Absolutely Go. The issue is more to do with finding someone who is happy to work within the parameters of the Head Coach role that City have created. It limits who we can recruit if we’re not looking to alter that in any serious way. By and large, I did think most of us were happy with that template and honestly I think there is even less likelihood of Lansdown ripping that up than he is letting LJ go. For what it’s worth, I have a sneaking suspicion that McAllister in charge might actually see us sort ourselves out. I reckon it won’t be continuity aimlessness which would be the fear. Though equally understand people’s fear of that.
  3. As his accent travels slowly along the M5, it's clear he's currently just south of Worcester. He'll hit Cheltenham in 2023. Addition of 'L' to then end of words during the transfer window in the summer of 2025.
  4. (Freeview Channel 67)3: Babestation
  5. Though I had Subbuteo and played it a fair amount I never really took to it. Really, I was a great adherent of Tomy’s Super Cup Football. What a game that was.
  6. Not much more to say here other than: Yes!
  7. Nats bats gone completely to sleep. Was a hard watch last night. Game 3 we looked as good as Houston, just couldn't drive the runners in. Not the case last night. We looked exactly like we were portrayed in the media before the series.
  8. I was reading about this. It seems like ridiculous hubris (and of course they lost game 3 last night (damn it all)) but basically the in house crew just have to do what MLB tell them during the post season. Bearing in mind everything that Manfred has had to deal with over the last few days I reckon he'd prefer the stage to come together than fall apart!
  9. I was absolutely bricking the last 3 innings. Rainey got so scared after Springer took him deep he just couldn't bring himself to throw a strike. Then it all went weird. Robles throwing the wrong base allowing a runner to move up to 2nd followed by Springer's opposite field shot that Eaton couldn't snag that he only got a double out of when it should have been a triple because he was watching it instead of running. Still, it went our way. Need a bit more from Kendrick and Rendon tonight as it's unrealistic to expect Soto to be able to carry the offence all series.
  10. Absolutely chuffed about last night. Couldn’t sleep a wink. Despite Max only going 5, which I thought would be a definite cause for us to lose! Desperately need Stras to go 7 tonight at least to give the only reliable arms in the bullpen a lighter workload before the travel day. Astros are so tough though.
  11. Geno by Dexys? Just the opening needed: the Geno chant for Deano then Macca as the trumpet section.
  12. I know it seems unlikely, but just watch the first minute...
  13. Having had a close friend hit and killed by a drunk driver I find it hard to regard the actions of someone who decides to get behind the wheel when over the limit as merely "a mistake". Everyone knows the science behind it now. There is no excuse.
  14. I am sure you know this by now, but- Thomas a Becket WAS the Archbishop of Canterbury who was murdered by followers of Henry II. The famous quote attributed to Henry II regarding this is "Will no-one rid me of this turbulent priest?". Probably the second most famous Beckett is Samuel, he of "Waiting for Godot" authorship.
  15. Except for Famara Duvetdhiou.
  16. One of them needs a promotion to Lieutenant Colonel.
  17. This season, theoretically, Korey and Jay's return will hit about this early 2020 time.
  18. What dad giveth (Massengo), dad taketh away (O'Dowda).
  19. Stadium construction has allowed secondary (or more) tiers to be added without requiring a complete rebuild for a while, so would certainly expect that to be the way the South Stand would be increased. Though as mentioned up to 8 or even 10 semis on Rains Rd would need to be purchased. With the profiling of the Atyeo it might not work for that so would probably need a complete rebuild. With the need to buy 18 houses on Ashton Rd as well a South Stand expansion would almost certainly be undertaken first.
  20. I love Pack and will miss him but I can sort of see the thinking - his limitation is his pace so his positioning needs to be perfect to avoid being exposed in defence and he struggles to pass and move quickly around the press in possession. On top of that, he needs time to play the long passes, with any great accuracy - again, Leeds didn't allow him to do that. Other teams might not be so quick to close him down which will increase his value on the pitch. Also, I get the feeling we will miss his impact off the pitch. Still, what's done is done. I can't say I wish him the best beyond staying injury free though! Lastly, generally, I don't have that much of an issue with City reporting transfer fees as undisclosed - in this case though, I think City should probably admit to it (though, of course, Cardiff may want it to remain undisclosed). Pack is our longest serving player and (notwithstanding Bailey Wright) was our captain and the transfer was out of the blue, right at the end of the window. Since Webster left, any fee is unlikely to have any impact on how much we will be quoted for players going forward anyway.
  21. Brighton had some left overs they added into the Webster deal, I reckon.
