We play these tomorrow.     Not to piss on anyone's expectations here but wouldn't be that surprised if they came away with three points.     Gave the yearly obligatory 'wave the white flag' in the FA Cup and made a mockery of the competitions integrity yet again with the Coventry replay a few days ago, seriously we were dire.    Hardly tried and if we play like that tomorrow then may as well award Rovers the three points and save another shameful excuse for putting on a game.

Memory must be ageing or something as can't recall right now the last time we played BRFC in the league or even any cup game, guess they've been kept apart by different leagues but tomorrow should be a good indication of how far we've really come since dropping out the Championship back in May.    Lambert is under a bit of pressure after some recent setbacks and one or doubts are creeping in.      Rovers are no mugs as their fifth place position shows and expecting a tough game tomorrow.   We'll try to beat them but I think we've punched above our weight often this season and second place for the team may be a little generous.    Already lost to Accrington and Rotherham, not good enough.        Hope to do better in a few hours.

I think the last time you met them in the league was 1991-92, the season you got promoted to the Premier League. They got relegated the season after and have been a bottom dwelling side since.

It isn't as if they have to pay their defense a clean-sheet bonus every week!

But it's great that evidently all the staff work free of charge to ensure that there are no costs associated with staging a game!

Great point. I have mixed up profit and income. That's why I'm not in Finance

    Classic #gaslogic at work here.

They've progressed through one round of the tournament so far, which yields a massive £36,000 in prize money. They won't have made any profit on their home games, with the very low attendances they've had. So where has the extra £64,000 come from?

The extra money would be two games on BT Sport plus 2 x £12K for the Sunday MOTD programme. For once this isn't Gaslogic

I have been told that the sale of the Fruit Market land has been agreed, and there definitely won't any objections by anyone to a stadium there whatsoever, and the council are all on board with it.

I still do not understand why anyone would not just buy the land and build housing and commercial/retail and sell it and off they go? Now add in the Mem land there is obviously profit involved building on that as well so another positive to this so called consortium. The trouble with buying the club or even getting it free, they are losing £3 million per year, and have to pay £40 million for a stadium on top, £20 million in debt and £30 million for the land. The clubs debt will still keep rising as they will still be in the mem with their poor crowds (I suppose they will be getting £15 million for Clarke Harris though).

Why would this consortium suddenly be throwing money at the club - they won''t? I just see another "billionaire Jordanian bankers" owners coming along trying to line their own pockets. The whole situation is odd, seeing as they will be around £100 million in debt with the current debt, cost of land and stadium. Is there really that much profit in the building trade - if it does happen be interesting to see how many houses/flats are being built.

I didn't think Marvellous Marvin wanted a stadium down there anyway, so surely he will be objecting........

Heard the same as well, my source works for a company with a site near Fruit Market and he got told this week that they would be moving within two years. Site was sold to include housing.

Their next game is Champions League night so that's another excuse in the bag.....

I thought they were loyal and true and would watch them from the pavements etc etc, it seems they have the excuse of cricket now (and not even boob cricket at that).

    Balloon fiesta 11th August 2018 - Sags v Accrington - attendance 8,683

Balloon fiesta 10th August 2019 - Sags v Wycombe - attendance 7,668 (and I bet Wycombe brought more than Accrington last season, showing a big drop)

Now you can’t be annoying those gappers by using facts to back up your argument. All Roverz attendance figures must be discussed using only Gaslogic.

  6. With regards to Cockmans daughter let’s think about this logically. Last Saturday they lost again and still had not scored a goal. Why would a City fan abuse Cockmans daughter? He may get angry and quit. Surely we would want him to stay as long as possible.

There is no logic in a City fan doing this

  7. On a different note I see the losers on slagchat have got wind of the rumour of Taylor to Oxford and quite a few want us to loan him to them.

For those of you from slagchat reading this (and we know you do), it won't happen because your owner publicly stated you would not do business with us again after Taylor signed for us. Well done Wally, you shot yourself in the foot. You want a creative midfielder? You could have had Morrell (see how he is doing at Lincoln).

Not sure if it's already been mentioned in this thread, but turns out that the 15ers "unique" blue and white quarters, aren't even unique in League One... :dunno:

That is a retro kit. Hummel did lots of these late 80s based on the Denmark kit at Mexico 86. Saints and Coventry had Hummel back then

  9. Gloucestershire should not or have ever been allowed to play in Bristol. Gloucester is a City in its own right so they should be based there. The old Somerset border is close to AG so if anyone were to play in Bristol it should be Somerset
