He’s got to be considered one of the best value signings we’ve ever made. £15k from Lincoln, or something equally ridiculous.

Am reliably informed it was actually only £5k from Lincoln :)

We’ve had these boring and predictable eras before with the Schumacher years and many would argue the Hamilton years despite him having more competition

    It won’t last forever

We can but hope! It’s just too sanitised these days. I don’t know how much longer people like Brundle will keep on hanging in there. Even he seems bored commentating these days!

Tbf you didn’t miss much, not saying it was boring but i did two weeks worth of ironing while it was on

I’m genuinely sad that it’s become so dull and predictable, as well as a a tad too “safe”

Hamilton probably thinks 2025 cannot come soon enough!

And surely Sainz will be lined up by Mercedes or Red Bull?

Strong start for Haas - maybe the change has done them good?

Let’s face it, he’s not going to get any special treatment now they know he’s leaving, the opposite in fact. They won’t be sharing new tech etc with him, in case he blabs to Ferrari when he gets there. Russell will get any advancements etc, and they’ll just wind down Lewis’s contract.

  5. The one race I decide to stay in bed and not get up, and THAT happens! The cheering was brilliant to hear I have to say, and his stroppy face! :D

Still watching it (delayed obviously) C’mon Norris!

Exactly, that is exactly what an acronym is, taking the initials if something and creating a word with them. It seems perfectly valid to me!

When you just say the letters (as in R.I.P.) that is an initialisation.

Well in the case of VAR, I don’t like it! :P

Exactly, and a word made from the initials would be an acronym, and a valid word once it is in general use.

Radar and scuba are good examples.

(RAdio Direction And Range, Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus)

R.I.P. wouldn't work as rip is a word with a different meaning already.

I’ll clarify, I’m meaning when people say var like you would say car but with a v. That’s the bit I’m objecting to.
