They changed the colour on the Saltire on a kit a while back, no one said a dicky bird. Do you honestly think this an 'attempt to wipe out everything English' . Does that not sound a wee bit OTT when you read it back to yourself? I don't see anything wrong with having pride about where you come from, but to hinge all that on a flag? I really, really don't get it.
Speaking specifically about Englishness, every year- I've seen once already this year- social media will carry a lot of posts about St Georges day, how everyone else celebrates theirs, but we aren't 'allowed' to, like and share etc etc.it absolutely baffles me, who is stopping anyone celebrating it, and do the Scottish and Welsh really celebrate theirs that much? I,ve been in Scotland on numerous St Andrews days and apart from a view 'St Andrews day special offers' things in shops, absolutely nothing else is going on.
I think many patriotic Englishmen have been well and truly conned and whipped into a frenzy by horribly skewed media.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree then

Like I said, I could not give a flying **** about any flag.
fair enough but for those of us who do, there's no way any other country would be expected to just accept this!
I'm very proud to be English and see this as yet another attempt to wipe out everything English
Like I said, can you imagine what would happen if the Palestinian Flag had its colours changed? or the Saltire going pink or the Welsh Flag ditching the Dragon

To who though? I'm a bit of an old school lefty and could not give a flying **** about it. The thing is, the voices heard on social media, from left and right, are people being vocal, because that's what social media is. I suspect that there are vast numbers of us- left and right- don't really get all that upset over such trivialities as a design on a football shirt.
If the Palestinian Flag suffered the same treatment, would that still be "trivial"?

I’m usually disappointed when there’s an international break . Not this time.
More time to coach even more football out of the players

Truly dreading next season. Players look completely lost.
What worries me is IF we survive this season, we're gonna be hoping for 3 worst teams next season - where the hell has the 2nd best defence in the league gone?

Can someone check in on me at half-time. This exhilarating display of front-foot attacking football is in danger of finishing me off.
By the way, there must be about 10,000 only in the crowd!!
The official figure will be 20k+ guaranteed

7 teams below us and only 1 winning. Probably because they aren’t very good teams!
And because we're not playing any of them

I do wonder if some people are so fixed in their ideas and way of life, imposing them on others, that it works against the benefits.
In a free country, it should be left to every individual to have their own beliefs, diets, religion and every other facet of their life.
ahhhhh a "free country", I remember that

He's probably still livid at Labour for their £28 Billion U-Turn after his £1.5 Million Bride (oops sorry, "donation") put him in a prime postion to cash in

In today's world, I really don't know why anybody should be mentioning this. What has the colour of his skin tone got to do with him being any good as a referee?
Nothing.
It shouldn't in a meritocracy but companies have ethnic targets and quotos to meet now sadly blowing meritocracy right out the window

Looks like 3 league games in a row without a goal
We don't look remotely like scoring which is the worrying bit

It seems we're only allowed to attack against teams we're expected to lose too

We are flying
They are in absolute turmoil with Rooney likely to be given the boot if they lose tonight
Fully expect a 2-0 Birmingham win before they go on another 5 game losing streak
That is so the city pattern of old - can manning finally break it
-
however much I luvs our Nige, difficult to see how we would have gotten anywhere near 9 points from those 3 games

Had a surprise birthday in there the other week, absolutely top notch food and staff, worth every penny

Don't think having 5 games at 12.30 makes sense from a broadcasting point of view, and I would be amazed if the reason they are doing that is to be considerate of the fans. I will be interested to see if there is a stronger reaction to this when more fans realise how many of their games are due to be moved around next season?
However I noticed that in the 2nd German division they have no Saturday afternoon games at all, with 2/3 early kick offs and the other 1/3 evening kick offs spread over the weekend, they still manage some very high crowds so maybe the strong reaction I expect with the EFL next season isn't going to happen.
sounds to me like Sky (as with "Super Sundays" etc...), are controlling this for commercial purposes

Sports 10 now buffering every 2 minutes.
Robins Tv has been flawless for me, probably one of the times I wouldn't mind if it buffered

I mean this is no different to a Pearson performance at the moment and wasn’t ever going to be any different. Very boring and scrappy with little quality but just feels like one of those games, 2 new coaches so you never know what you’re getting. Shame for manning really as the next 3 fixtures are extremely difficult, annoying we had to play QPR now with this being their managers first home game. Just have to see this out, point would be good.
the only difference I would say is our passing is not as sloppy as it usually is, not doing anything with it but that's look an improvement to me

The first few will start appearing in "serious" positions in the men's game sooner rather than later imo, and the game will be better for it as a result.
I'd be very surprised if it's initially at championship level though.
Whoever the first few are they'll have more balls than a fair few of the posters on this thread by the looks of things that's for sure!
out of interest, why will "the game be better for it as a result"?
