  1. Belief.......Ooooh That Feels Nice

In February 2016 I entered into a new relationship. Things started off pretty well and was far more enjoyable than the last few months of my previous one. Things carried on being great for about 8 months but then they started to treat me pretty badly for 3 months! I considered ending things then but they promised me that they'd improve and to be fair over the next few months things did get a bit better. Since the summer things have been fantastic between us and I have huge hopes for the future but it will still take me a while to completely forget those turbulent 3 months.
  2. This is a graphical representation of "pressure" (according to the opta stats) during the match. It does look pretty even and a point from one of the more difficult places to visit can't be sniffed at. (Green lines = home team, blue lines = away team)
  3. LJ's style of play...

And when we don't have the ball we just back off, back off, back off knowing that sooner or later our opponents will make a mistake and gift us another opportunity to kick it long.
  4. Andy Mitten's piece on Bristol City

    Still true though, we haven't
  5. BBC - Equality Overload?

There's hermaphrodites too (born with both sets of bits). Learnt that from Eminem back in the 90s.
  6. Andy Mitten's piece on Bristol City

Maybe the author is monitoring this thread because we were now in the top flight from 1976-1980 and LJ now trusts his players impeccably. If you're reading this Andy you just need to correct your name at the top now. Good article, thanks for writing it
  7. 3 defeats in last 23

Given Lee was hounded a lot (including by me) for that run of 3 wins in 25 games I thought I'd look at his record around that run seeing as both are now significant periods. Before that run started we had 34 games with a 53% win ratio and coincidentally since that run we have had 21 games, also at a 53% win ration (2 draws overlap the 3 wins in 25 & 4 defeats in 23 comments). Reality is we had that really sustained period at 12% win ratio but if we can avoid that in future he seems to be fairly consistent in good times at 53%. Statto out..
  8. Fam looks a great team player as well. He celebrated Matty's goal with more vigour than he celebrated his own!
  9. 3 defeats in last 23

As long as none of these are in the cup, this is our route into the Europa League, like LJ promised.
  10. I've said it in other posts but LJ's approach has changed from our opening run of games in August and the latest set since the international break. Before the break he definitely had a preferred XI that he tried to stick to in all starting line ups, we played reasonably, were hard to beat but were a little draw heavy. Since the break ended Johnson has changed mindset to make 2 or 3 changes to the starting XI to keep the team fresh, we are still hard to beat but with more of a winners' look to us. As each week goes by I think LJ is feeling more and more confident with the amount of players he has that can step into our starting XI and play the system we use well, keeping energy levels high, so important with the intensity we are trying to play with. Before the break: WWLDDWD After the break: WWDW Results like tonight, not only give LJ confidence in the ability of fringe members to step into the XI on any given match day but also increase the confidence of ALL of our squad that the way LJ wants us to play is going to be successful. If we can make 9 changes and dominate a PL team, the squad will believe they can beat anyone in the championship. Roll on Norwich!
  11. 3 defeats in last 23

Over a full season that would be 82 points. I think we'd all be well pleased if we finished on that this season.
  12. Bristol Rovers Dustbin Thread

    You forgot "Barcelona Rovers FC"
  13. I'm going with this team: Steele Vyner Flint Hegeler Magnusson Eliasson Brownhill Pack O'Dowda Taylor Diedhiou
  14. Pitch Invader

I wonder how much the bet was for. Hoping it was for more than a fiver as that won't go anywhere near paying the court imposed fine & costs.
  15. FAN meeting - TONIGHT (Merged)

I have an employee at work that wanted to go but I hadn't asked her for date of birth etc and as I was honest and didn't make up these details I was unable to get her a ticket. With a 4-1 win as her first game we might have even got her on the hook for more games but alas no.
