  1. Isn't goals conceded worse despite club apologists claiming Liam has tightened us up?
  2. Presenter: "I think you only need 3 maybe 4 players and this team could really go places" re: going to Manning style football. However, with departures that still leaves us with a paper thin squad. And for those 3 or 4 players to turn us into a team that can dominate opponents in possession terms they need to be best in division type players and those aren't "100 games in League One" types, they cost £5m plus, each.

  4. From what you guys are reporting, how easily they seem to have forgotten Southampton.
  5. How does that tally with Liam's stated belief that once a game has started there is very little a manager can do to affect the outcome? Personally I would take Liam's quote and change a manager to this manager.
  6. That in itself is an admission that he is currently not fit to manage our club. Question is how long do the club's inexperienced hierarchy think it will take and who above Liam has any knowledge of how/what a successful Championship Manager acts/does?
  7. You know how you can prove to the doubters that you “know football”? Appoint a competent / experienced CEO. Appoint a competent / experienced DoF. Appoint a competent / experienced Manager. Let the 3 appointments above overhaul recruitment. We already have a decent Academy. Set a budget and let them do what they have built their reputations on without interference.
  8. So he disagrees with his bosses that this is the best squad they’ve known at this club? Thats awkward, this lot don’t particularly like it when managers disagree with them.
  9. I’d personally use the first few weeks to find a competent CEO and DoF to lead the search. After all the shit they said at the time of Nige’s sacking, imagine how embarrassing it will be for the hierarchy if we don’t even match 22/23’s points tally
  10. Home kit, whilst not a copy of, gives me “inspired by” Mexico 86 vibes.
  11. Last week we had Tins directly on the show. This week we had his Pro Procurationem. Both revealing commercially sensitive information. This club
  12. The quality of players are fine if we play to their strengths they were recruited for. Unfortunately we seem to be intent on playing to their weaknesses as our Head Coach isn't flexible enough to play a different way. So, we need to bin the lot and start again.
  13. My Hail Mary is that SL’s increased visibility at the last two games is borne out of fear that Jon, Brian & Liam are seriously risking any potential sale price and having shown he doesn’t want to be hands on anymore, he employs competent professionals to protect his asset’s value.
  14. I'm ok with him appointing experienced & competent CEO, DoF and Manager and leaving them to it in the absence of immediate buyers.
  15. 26 points from 23 games at this level. Leicester up next.
  16. Also we have to remember that McKenna only won 2 of his first 12 games at Ipswich so it’s wrong to judge Manning after just 23 games.
  17. I’m surviving on gallows humour of others and the suspicion we already have enough points to stay up. If I seriously thought we could go down, I’d feel far worse.
  18. Very likely to be 26/24 after the Leicester game. …and dedicated to discussion of our glorious win over Southampton?
  19. Tomorrow’s Pod should be dedicated to our win over Southampton.
  20. Incorrect. Once the game has started there is little you can do as a manager to affect the result. And let’s not forget we beat Southampton please.
  21. As long as the hierarchy still like the current manager/head-coach and haven’t closed the cheque book.
  22. Considering a thread title change in respect to the direction of our club. “WBA away match thread, don’t forget we beat Southampton”
  23. I don’t think we have mentioned beating Man U as much as these guys mention beating Southampton…. And that has a several year head start!
