  1. Haven’t shown mine for ages and I’m trying to go the whole season without showing it. Don’t know why but it really annoys me. Same as you though, just say “yep” and walk on through - they don’t even ask everyone just randomly select who to ask so I don’t know what their rationale is.
  2. Knew the Raj was going downhill when I went in there and Wael from the Gas was in there one evening. Good to see a gazillionaire keeping it real though I guess.
  3. And of course way back when Holloway said the only good City fan is one that’s dead
  4. Fair enough. Genuinely didn’t know. Also don’t know when his next court case is.
  5. So does that mean he “allegedly” roughed her up when she was pregnant?
  6. Fantastic to see all the plastic Mancs facing the reality that their teams now a bit sh1te
  7. My dad used to work for Wills’s and used to get us free tickets / merchandise One of my lasting memories of him is the Embassy Racing bucket hat he kept and always used to wear when doing the decorating
  8. Used to see him in the Dolman fairly regularly

    Runners!

Thanks chaps. Think I’ll have to go back to a similar approach taken by @CyderInACan

    Runners!

Hello. Forgive the relative laziness, I have tried a quick online search but no joy. Can anyone recommend a fitness tracker that doesn’t have a watch? Just after something to give me distance covered / time lapsed really and if it can match up with an app on my phone, even better. Doesn’t have to be too fancy as I’m only a very amateur runner (about 25k a week) but I’d like to know how far I travel either walking or running on a daily basis. I think Fitbit used to do a fairly basic one a while back but they all seem to be more watch based now. I’ve had an Apple Nike Watch for a couple of years which is good as you can download songs to it and links nicely with their dedicated app but it prevents me wearing a “normal” watch and as a result I’ve got a couple of nice ones sitting in my drawer going unworn Thanks

    Wimbledon

Been once. Great day out - Centre Court is like a football stadium, and I think it seats about 15k From memory, I think if you leave one of the main courts before end of the days play, you deposit your ticket on the way out the gates and someone waiting in a queue takes your place. It was a few years back and i did spend a bit of time in the Stella bar so I may be a bit hazy there!
  12. Not sure how any City fan can criticise anyone for wasting money on substandard performances - we've all been doing that for years!!! For the record, I'm no fan of Elton anyway
  13. What are you spending the change on?
  14. Over the phone? I bet you’re one of those annoying old gets who do their car tax and pay gas bills at the post office counter too ?
  15. Genuine, non-loaded question. What’s the rationale to your affinity with Celtic? Same question to anyone who has Rangers as a second team I know quite a few people support their main club and one of the Glasgow teams but I’ve never understood why
  16. My point was more about differentiation based on age really in response to a previous post saying discounts were no longer applicable to less abled supporters. As mentioned I have no complaint with seniors getting a discount - I’ll look forward to mine in about 20 years time! I also said not all of them have more spare cash but the mortgage / interest point won’t wash with a lot of people as their houses probably cost a fraction in real terms vs todays property prices
  17. Not complaining in any way but I find it interesting that “Seniors” get a discount as in many (not all) cases, this demographic will have much more disposable income than many others. Given you cannot discriminate based on age, I wonder what the logic is to give them lower prices.
  18. Getting hungry now. Might do a curry on the weekend!
  19. If you like making curry then I highly recommend this book You need to make a “base” Source which can be used for most of them and a “mixed powder” but if you make a massive batch of both in one hit you’re sorted for a good while It’s the closest I’ve had to proper restaurant stuff by making myself. Definitely worth the effort
  20. Thanks both, I’ll get in touch with a solicitor tomorrow. Appreciate the quick response Although only recently diagnosed the speed in which she is deteriorating is a big shock - sounds a bit selfish but she’s already forgot my birthday She has MS, and yesterday got the all clear from her 2nd bought of cancer but this vile illness is the worst. It’s tough
  21. Does anyone have experience of sorting a POA? My mum has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and the support nurse suggested we should take one out sooner rather than later I can see you can sort online but wondered if anyone had used a solicitor to take care of it and what they charge Appreciate I could do online myself but am thinking it may prove less hassle to get a professional to help me Thanks
