  1. I'm sure he's not doing it for the money, he comes over as relishing the challenge and wanting to use his knowledge to help them and the young players and I think he wants to work with good people. He will have earned the money if he keeps them up though, they were absolutely gone when Deeney left.
  2. Is that good or bad?
  3. Let's hope he can find the Gents later when the call arrives
  4. Yeah, my late brother in law always maintained that you can't watch Bristol City sober, you have to anaesthetize yourself to the inevitable upcoming pain.

OK ? He had less EFL management experience than LJ when he was appointed and MK were bottom of the league when he was sacked. I was going to say he's learning on the job but he's not actually even doing that.

Exactly, shows what a f uckwit BT is to think Manning could lead this club, 2 minutes listening to him drone on and I'd be 'thanks we'll be in touch and watch the door doesn't bang your ass on the way out'
  7. The problem is that we pivot between these two types as every appointment is a knee jerk opposite reaction against the previous manager/coach The 3 you name all had several promotions on CV's, if you want promotion - hire someone who's done it.
  8. Exactly, we've all seen and heard enough to know he's not up to the job at this level. He can't change, and he won't change becomes he thinks his processes are right and he thinks it's all the players fault. Manning and Hogg think and act as one. It's now a case of when and not if he goes, I expect we'll pick up the odd win and limp through to the end of the season because crayon boy hasn't got the bollox to do anything other than keep his head down and stay out of the way. The whole cycle will start again round about October when the Lansdowns will have no choice but to sack him and then we will see their ineptitude take centre stage again as they dither around wondering what to do next. They will of course appoint an experienced man ( they always do after the rookie fails ) who will begin doing what needs to be done but will themselves be fired when they tell SL what's needed and he doesn't like it and shoots the messenger. Again And on it goes...
  9. The problem for me is our form and confidence is getting worse by the game so I'm not even confident of him replicating that dismal number of points. It would be so Bristol City to self inflict relegation on ourselves from a comfortable position by virtue of yet another poor decision by the Lansdowns.
  10. The OP asked for your favourite film.....not where you watched it
  11. From the Teknikle Direkter ?
  12. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy Godfather 1 Godfather 2 Pulp Fiction Shawshank Deer Hunter Day of the Jackal Good fellas Shows my age I guess, all quite old!
  13. The owner of R & D who bankrolled their rise from the Southern League Midland Division and the rebuilding of the stadium was Max Griggs who also owned the Dr Martens company. No idea why he pulled out ( handed the club over to the Supporters Trust ), but by then they were already in decline.
  14. People who are driving around in winter with their roof box still mounted on the car 5 months after returning from their gite holiday in France.
  15. Yes correct, using that website it shows the kit Big John was wearing was worn by City between 1958 and season 1961/2. So the picture must have been taken in 60/61. We played Brentford on December 10th 1960 at Griffin Park. We lost 2-0..
  16. Yes now it's been pointed out you can see it's the Braemer Road stand, the floodlights along the top of the stand were removed and traditional pylons were erected in each corner in 1963 ( per wiki) so the picture is pre that date. The old covered end kop terrace in the picture was replaced by the distinctive ' Wendy house ' 2 tiered stand in the 80's. I've been several times but after the kop end was demolished.
  17. Being a bit of a ground nerd I'm trying to work out where that pic was taken, it's not AG and he's wearing a City shirt so it must be an away league ground 2nd or 3rd division...Wolves maybe ??
  18. ,1-1 still playing, good point though if they hold out.
  19. Unfortunately FGR have conceded a penalty in the 90thminute
  20. Ah, so IG does get something right occasionally!
  21. No I don't, but then I wouldn't have sacked Nigel or appointed Manning so our current predicament would be irrelevant
  22. Right now if you gave me a binary choice of Manning or King for the rest of the season I'd plump for King every time. I know absolutely nothing about King's coaching skills so that tells you everything about how I rate Manning!
