Purely as a fan, what is your expectation / hope for City?
CodeRed replied to reddogkev's topic in Football Chat
You've answered your own question! -
Joking aside Dave I think that's basically what they did. Who are the young head coaches currently doing well who would consider Bristol City a step up? That was probably JL's thought process. I doubt they were tracking LM prior to the decision to fire Nigel or anything like that.

Very true. I think they truly believe that as well, especially SL.

Sky interviewer to Liam Manning - a massive task tonight- etc , .. ..so disrespectful we're at home against another championship club, a league where anyone can beat anyone , to listen to Sky it's like we're L2 v Man City in the cup. TBH after listening to Sky if we can keep the score below 6-0 I'm going to bed happy! -

Pork Knuckle? -
FWIW if you are driving down the Portway from the M5 it's probably quicker to exit at Portbury and come in that way down Rownham Hill past Bemmy cricket club even without the accident/closure. I live north of Bristol and I don't bother exiting the M5 at Avonmouth due to the regular long queues on the Portway and use the route above. The P & R will use the Shirehampton Rd I expect and then Stoke Hill, Downs, past where the zoo was and down Bridge Valley. Hope everyone gets there ok.

I would never use a VPN but a " friend" uses windscribe ( as recommended by our own Davfevs) , simple to download, there's a free version which allows you to stream about 4 games a month if you don't start until just before ko and log off at FT. The pay version is from memory about £50-£60 per year and is unlimited. Once you have downloaded windscribe an icon will appear on your desktop/ or phone...you can load it on both ......open the app, turn it on and set the location to anywhere outside of the UK eg Frankfurt., then sign in to Bristol Sport and RTV and the game will be available to buy. The game appears on RTV about 30 mins before ko, click on the screen not the white play arrow and it should start playing. -

I often favour Frankfurt, very quick flight - you're there in no time -
Like this one bud?

Thanks for the update, as you know CH usually asks for a contribution once a year from the regular posters to help with the site costs which we're all more than happy to do. I'm sure everyone will chip in again if and when it's necessary, it will be a shame if it dies.

Thanks EH for letting me know

Does anyone know if this is now defunct, haven't been able to log on for ages, I know a couple of OTIB'ers are or were moderators on there, possibly @Eddie Hitler or @phantom from memory. Just wondered wether it's just me or maybe I'm banned Thanks

Spoke very well, humble, no BS or stupid jargon (as you would expect from SC) with an acknowledgement of the very tough task in front of him but with a confidence in his experience and knowledge that he can bring something to the situation. Is there enough time to turn it around? Who knows but I wish him all the very best - especially as FGR are my nearest FL club!
