  1. Premier league clubs might get desperate before the end of August. There are still 4 weeks to go in this window, some clubs might have a bad start or original targets might not happen, also a fair amount of business tends to get done late in the window.
  2. Brad Ash playing for Torquay, ex City Academy
  3. Jim White was discussing this on Talk Sport, he’s seen it, said it was amazing.
  4. Anybody catch Ezra Collective on West Holts stage 7-8pm, London jazz baby it’s the future, nice
  5. Massive dilemma for me, I would love Leeds to get relegated but then we have to deal with easily the most annoying fans I have witnessed at Ashton in my 50 odd years of watching City. Even more annoying than Rovers, never thought it would be possible.
  6. That was my first away game, I was about 12 years old and went on the train with some mates. I seem to remember it was early on in the season and we were still on school holidays, we were discussing on the way back if we would have to write about “what we did in the holidays” The stories of that day would of surprised the teachers.
  7. Like they said in Field of Dreams “Build It And They Will Come”
  8. TimTam is virtually a Penguin but not as good. Chocolate Hobnobs are the greatest biscuit ever, I know they are available in USA, some towns have international food markets where you can get them.
  9. Oi Dundridge Farm is home of the mighty Nicholas Wanderers please do not associate the hollowed turf with that mob north of the river
  10. Anybody that pulled Natalie Sawyer is a legend in my eyes
  11. Hope the Sunderland game is on TV, I was going to the game in a group of 12 but Easy Jet cancelled the flight back on Sunday.
  12. Reminds me of when my lad played for City under 11’s v Millwall, they had a 6 footer playing who everyone thought was one of the coaches.
  13. Absolutely spot on, been saying it for years. Both teams promise so much but deliver so little.
  14. Great goal by Radford for Hereford but the thing I’ll always remember is the pitch being invaded by thousands of green parka’s
  15. I think Dan Burn has a better chance than Webster personally.
  16. I usually get to my seat about 30 seconds before kick off but today I was in there a lot earlier. I was really pleased to hear “Back Home In Bristol” blaring out approx 10 minutes before kick off, was this the first time this song has been played or have I missed it due to my tardiness? Also, could the words be put up on the screen so this song could be a new and welcome anthem, (the “I can’t read & write song is a total embarrassment)
  17. I went to Turin to watch Juventus a few years ago, every taxi driver we spoke to supported Torino and had a real hatred of Juve.
  18. The only England away game I have attended, it was a great weekend except the amount of time we were kept in the ground after, 3 hours if I remember correctly. It was the first time I had heard the “great escape” tune and always remember blokes whistling the tune as we were walking through the airport on the Sunday, I believe it would be referred to as an “ear worm” these days.
  19. I’d just moved into a house by myself, didn’t have any furniture, watched the game sat in a deck chair, happy days.
  20. Before he transferred to the Dolman he sat by us in the Williams stand and I can tell you he yelled the same thing back then on a very regular basis. Also remember being refereed by him on several Sunday mornings back in the day. Just like there are no “maverick” footballers now we have now lost our maverick supporter, what a guy he was.
  21. 28/4/69, Rovers 0 City 5, Glos Cup at Eastville, what an introduction. 53 years of mainly disappointment and mediocrity but can’t wait for next season to start.
  22. Enjoyed that, that young lad is very good.
