  1. We are past the halfway mark in the season & are 1 point off the top 6 - how can you not even contemplate that we might be..?
  2. If they get an away draw I tend to swear out loud, wherever I am. How can anyone possibly even consider them getting promoted as anything other than putrid..? It brings a smile to my face when their "play off push" ends - usually before Easter..!
  3. This is true & I think everyone acknowledges this - but then, with exactly the same set of players, NP (I don't think) ever won 3 games on the trot here & there is a notable increase in the amount of shots we are taking at goal & possibly the about of times we are getting balls into the opponents box. That has already lead to an increase in penalty awards & deflected goals, in our favour. Of course there will be drab & frustrating defeats at times - but it already feels like LM is getting more from many of the players & the the squad as a collective & allowing them to play with more freedom & with more attacking intent. LM has not yet had the opportunity to change a single thing personal wise, yet is producing a different type of play from them and, so far, the players seem to be embracing that.
  4. I don't give a shit what the percentage works out to be - I was just pointing out that whatever way it's estimated- the poster who tried to pass it off as 1% was totally & utterly wrong.
  5. That's just been completely made up by the poster who is try to belittle SL's input, by claiming he has only spent 1% of his fortune on our club - which is absolute nonsense because the posters maths is abysmal..! He's spent around 15% of his wealth on us - & whereas the poster is trying to tell is that it's "only" 1%.
  6. I think you miss the point that without the Lansdowns being prepared to cover those losses we'd be know where near where we are now - regardless of the success or failure that that is.. Imagine if they'd sold to Al Quadi 10/15/20 years ago...
  7. FFS..! You could make the Tottenham stadium better - but I think it's pretty fit for purpose...!
  8. Isn't that the point.? We have genuine fans, ploughing tens/hundreds of millions into our club. Where do you think we'd be without them, seriously..?!. It's not as if (surprisingly) that we've heard reports of numerous takeover bids being turned down. I'd go so far as to say that, bearing in mind our overheads to match ambitions) we'd be in a worse place than Rovers are now. We had a decent sized, but we'll outdated ground. Little to no commercial or non match day revenue. Little to no match day revenue around the ground - yet always the expectation to succeed. We lose £20million plus per year now, yet it's not been a concern for us (as supporters) because the Lansdowns pay it all off. I think some people's entitled expectations lead them to believe we deserve better - nobody deserves better. Yes, we could have done better - but anyone who holds no gratitude for what that family have done for us amazes me. Without them we'd be lucky to still be in existence, let alone a struggling 3rd/4th tier club with a shithold of a decent sized ground & still training at the a local field somewhere. Agreed, we've not got there, but we've never been closer to being ready for the Prem now & that is entirely thanks to them (even though some think it's because of them.!) We all know they make mistakes & we could/should have achieved more - but imagine, just for moment, if they hadn't ever been here - we'd probably be landing our token support to FGR..!
  9. Ah OK. Sorry. Misunderstood that than.
  10. I don't. It's ridiculous. He's literally just said that the majority think there is..!
  11. I can understand those with a love in for NP being upset at his departure - bit any of those carrying that into any sort of anti LM agenda are just pathetic, imho.
  12. Whys that. Are that completely unrealistic about the realities of someone's football career aswell..?
  13. Blackpool, Sheffield Wednesday, Rovers, Man Utd to name a few. You list Cardif as a good example.?! It depends which foreign owners you get.
  14. Just seem Liam Mannings Christmas message on Facebook(can't upload it for some reason) I can't believe he doesn't include an apology to NP for having the job..!
  15. We have NEVER lost a game (in 34 years) when I've bought a burger or Hot dog at the ground & replied to the conundrum of "do you want onions?" With the reply "just a few" - apart from the games we have lost when that scenario has taken place....
  16. So, if Manning works out well, takes us forward, gets us promoted/has us genuinely competing for the top 6 places, playing more attacking football..... What then..? You'd like the Lansdowns to pack up & move off, selling up to some dubious foreign owner...? I'm not saying it will happen - but it could. I could understand this type of feeling if it were this time next season & we were struggling around the relegation places (gone notably backwards)
  17. Genuinely baffling..! Warnock has had his fair share of clashes, banter & abuse with us over the years - bit there is no actual real reason he couldn't have come here. Holloway - It's just an absolute, unquestionable "NO" in every possible way! As you say, he been generally shite at every club, bar Blackpool - but even if he'd emulated Pep throughout his career - I'd rather dig my own eyes with a rusty spoon & fill the holes with shit from a tramps dog, than even entertain the idea of that vile, embarrassing piece of site ever being at our club..! I can only think that the person who posted that is either under 30 & knows nothing of his history, or was dropped on his head from a great height.
  18. Whilst I wholeheartedly disagree with those who'd ever have wanted Warnock here, I can see where they are coming from. To suggest Ian Holloway is one of the most ludicrous things I've ever read. I hope you recover soon from whatevever nasty life experiences you have had to endure, that have made you even consider that as anything other than vomit inducing..!
  19. That was his average over the 2.5 years, yes. I think I'm missing your point..?
  20. How are game results not being replicated if the stars consist of more games than he was manager for..? Use each result once & it's a fair reflection. Aren't you basically replicating the use of each result 8 times..?
  21. 44 runs of 8 games.... that alone totals 352 games. He was in charge for 131 games - so that must be cherry picking the very best groups of games & replicating many games into different selections of 8 game periods. How many stand alone 8 game periods exceeded his average stats..? The depressing lack of back to back wins under NP, reflects the polar opposite to how you have relayed the stats in a very pro NP manner.
  22. I'm surprised by that. I assume that is selecting a favourable 8 games to suit the angle required. If he had that many decent periods (cherry picked), then pretty much the entire rest of the time must. Have been utter dog shite, because his record generally over 2.5 years was pretty uninspiring. His home record was generally abysmal & we rarely won back to back games. Facts.
  23. Yeah - so 1.375 pts per game, average. NP overall have 1.2 ppg average & I can't recall many/any periods where his average got much above that.
  24. I'm sure you'll be fine, if you are suitably respectful of being in a home area of the ground. I once had to get tickets in the home end at Southampton (not family stand) & got treated like Shite, grassed up to a steward & kicked out the ground, simply for not cheering when Southampton scored. Which was fair enough, I knew the chances when I took that option. It all depends who ends up being sat around you - but you should be OK in the family stand area. I doubt they'd permit any visible saouthampton shirts or scarfs though. You'll just have to accept you may get kicked out if anyone takes objection to you being there.
