  1. Yes, but they aren't playing for an under 19 team - they are buying a ticket, which is self explanatory in it's qualifying age.!
  2. Pushing your luck by getting an under 19 ticket on your 19th birthday is a bit different to outright fraud & ripping your own club off your years..!
  3. True, but at least Swindon have been in the top flight themselves, by their own doing & wouldn't be requiring a completely hypothetical miracle, like the gas would.
  4. Resent what.... you were in the wrong queue..!
  5. He was a Top Top talent when he was on loan with us - great player with a huge potential. Since then he has come across as a self pitying whinger. All the usual traits of an addict - always someone else's fault without taking responsibility for their own actions. Wasn't it our club at fault for him to keep going to the casino.?! Now he applies for a job (not on TV, but that suits his agenda better) and whinges about the sole funding company, understandably, not thinking he's the right fit for the show. A player I'd loved for us to have had for longer - but a person I have little patience or tolerance for.
  6. By nature of an under 19's tickets - it's for under 19's. Get her one by all means, but if you want to get the right category for a 19 year old, then get an under 21/22 year old (not sure which it is) ticket.
  7. Cardiff & Swansea for edge, but not Swindon..?! F'king hate Swindon so I'd like the edge of games against them in it.
  8. Don't forget that when Rovers' fans count, or usually comes to about double what everyone else would make the total. Still a good number though anyway.
  9. That is good support - nobody can argue otherwise. Their problem comes from exaggerating all the time. Even yesterday when Mangan was asked about the 597 who'd made the long trip, he mentioned the "3 thousand" who went to Reading- it wasn't 3,000 so why say so, you f'king moron.?!
  10. How about we review this after those games - when the manager have had time to even learn the players names.?!
  11. But he won all his games against all relegated teams in his time here, did he.?
  12. I would expect MK Don's losing their main 2 players to have more effect on their squad than us losing 1 or 2 of our key players.
  13. I never have had a BMW & never plan too... but if I ever did, I'd have to get the badge ceramically changed to at least Red & White (I've seen a few other people do something along the lines of that) However - my first aim is to never be enough of an ignorant tosser to justify being behind the wheel of a BMW...!
  14. No, Most hear hear something & don't question it's source & then pass it on as ITK in the hope that it might stick & people will believe they are ITK, when in reality, it's pure fluke that what they'd heard happened to happen.
  15. Partly & that is why the timing surprised me - but we weren't really much better last season, with all those available. I wasn't in any rush to get rid of NP & appreciated that he was doing dirty work behind the scenes - but I'm not bothered that he has gone either. I think, on the pitch, we have been utterly underwhelming since he came. Of course it's a gamble & will be interesting to see what the change will do. We could go backwards or we could thrive - who knows yet.?!
  16. Definitely better defensively this season - bit our attacking play has gone to pot & we look like we have very little plan, Bar the occasional counter attack.
  17. What..? Alot of hard, dirty graft has been done by NP - an area of his role where he did a good job. At no point to I ever think he developed the team to get the most out of them, by style, game plan or tactics. We were terribly inconsistent & it took an age to address our defensive frailties. As other posters have said - there's no doubt he did alot of good work - but mostly off the pitch & on it we frustratingly bang average, or worse, throughout the majority of his time in charge.
  18. Yes, that was the hope/expectation/target - it's not going to be for the new man, this season. That would be ridiculous as he isn't starting from level pegging with the rest of the teams, like NP was - he had a deficit to make up & 15 games less to achieve anything. Progress will be expected, but it would be extremely harsh to expect any manager to be targeted with getting top 6 this season and would be outstanding if he managed it..!
  19. This is Robboreds time to shine, with his eternal wisdom of "don't believe anything until it's on the OS"
  20. Yes I do - that's why the timing was odd. But perhaps that was deemed as being down to NP & his team - I don't know. Let's face it - we have been utterly underwhelming, especially at home, throughout his tenure. Last season even more so, when the division was there for the taking & we were generally piss poor.
  21. Yes agreed. & hopefully if we do see improvement then you'll give them credit for making a good call & hope to see further progress next season, when he has had a pre-season & summer transfer window to implement some of his own ideas.
  22. I think we all hope that this season can see us improve under the new appointment. Be a bit more consistent score more goals & generally look like we are moving in the right direction. To expect promotion would be crazy - to look like we are heading in the right direction for it would be excellent & refreshing.
  23. Perhaps, but coming to terms with something they would have preferred to turn out differently & then being deliberately dim/obtuse are 2 totally different things. To claim the expectations of NP before the season started & whoever the new bloke is, with a third of the season gone & starting with already having to make up the defecit of NP's tenure, is just being ridiculous. NP has gone. His record here was poor-just about average. Our home form throughout his tenure has been pretty abysmal. The timing (injuries) made the decision surprising - but that doesn't gloss over the fact that we have hardly progressed in his 2.5 years in charge.
  24. Isn't the difference obvious..? It won't be the new man's squad & he will be starting already adrift of the play off places, unlike the level pegging at the start of the season. He will only have 2/3's of the season to claw that back. Hopefully he will have his own ideas on players he'd like/not like to achieve his goals & won't have until January to make any changes to the squad whatsoever. Is it really that hard to fathom out how the situation & expectations might differ..?!
  25. Because the new manager won't have has 2.5 years to have an impact. In 2.5 years, we started day 1 in 18th position & the last day saw us in 15th place. Fact. Steady, gradually progress in difficult circumstances - yes. Someone who looked like being a long term answer to taking us forward - 2.5 years, health problems & whatever possible disagreements didn't indicate so.
