  1. What a legend. Admitting that the last two times he cried was when Korey scored against United and tears of joy when the Gas got relegated. ? Joe, if I bump into you mate the next rounds on me.
  2. I'm bemused how the TMO called the forward pass for Joyces (non given) try but missed the high tackle on Radradra literally 2 seconds before. Been a good game between two evenly matched sides so far though
  3. https://www.vipleague.lc/1-bristol-rc-vs-toulonnais-live-streaming Shitload of pop ups to close but otherwise a good stream
  4. Yep, we can only finish 4th at worst. Bath will probably get 4th as Sale have had 16 positive covid tests so will struggle to put a competitive side out against Worcester on Wednesday.
  5. If the G*s are playing at home that won't be concern.
  6. More than likely, but wouldn't be surprised if all they could afford was a gazebo.
  7. You mean the MK Dons that have only been in existence since 2004 from a town that has only been in existence since the late 60's? Surely the R*vers who have been in existence since the late 1800's from a city that has been around since the 11th century would be able to garner a larger following than a club and a town that have next to no history? They do have da famuss quarterzz after all.
  8. My all time favourite game and was in the East End that night too. Utter mayhem. The G*s fans chanting in the minutes silence for Les Kew(?). I've never known the Gate that hostile before or since. Devon White diving for the penalty, Leaning saving it. Donowa scoring at the open end with a few minutes to go to finally put to an end the hoodoo they had over us at the time. Utter scenes.
  9. Ahem, 'according to friends', she can be found doing things Beverley Goodway would've blushed at on certain websites
  10. That they had a girlfriend, that looks like their sister......
  11. I'm not sure how to word this as I would never try to belittle what happened there as it was utterly horrendous, but for me, Belsen shocked me more. I'm not going to try and use numbers as a reference as to why I think that as humans should never be referenced as just a number but Belsen was harrowing. Especially considering they never actually had gas chambers there (no matter what the Sex Pistols may have sang about) I suppose it didn't help that my grandad was one of the first wave of troops that helped liberate Belsen. From listening to the people that knew him before that (especially my nan) they all say he was never the same afterwards. As a kid growing up he would tell me loads of stories about certain parts of the war (he was a desert rat fighting Rommel through Africa/Egypt and Italy). He told me about scratching his name on the sphinx and how his best friend burned to death in a tank that he escaped from, but he absolutely refused to speak about Belsen and what he saw. One of the great British reporters of the time Richard Dimbleby (father of David Dimbleby) said at the time "Here over an acre of ground lay dead and dying people. You could not see which was which... The living lay with their heads against the corpses and around them moved the awful, ghostly procession of emaciated, aimless people, with nothing to do and with no hope of life, unable to move out of your way, unable to look at the terrible sights around them ... Babies had been born here, tiny wizened things that could not live ... A mother, driven mad, screamed at a British sentry to give her milk for her child, and thrust the tiny mite into his arms, then ran off, crying terribly. He opened the bundle and found the baby had been dead for days. This day at Belsen was the most horrible of my life." Every day of our lives we should be thankful that we have never had to see or live through the absolute horror that people of only two or three generations past had to live.
  12. 1.Totally opposing Bristol City Councils offer of funding when we were close to going bust in 82, then having the audacity of trying to buy Ashton Gate for peanuts at the same time. 2. Chanting and booing during a minutes silence for our chairman wjo had unfortunately died in 1991. 3. Holloways comment of 'the only good City fan is a dead one' 4. Rovers fans opposing our bid for Ashton Gate/Vale to be used as a World cup stadium. 5. Stealing the rugby ground with totally reprehensible behaviour. 6. Punching horses, punching players, stealing from the supporters club/changing rooms and racist abuse.... 7. Ian Alexander They are a stain on the underpants of Bristol and have been for over 40 years. Yes, they haven't been relevant for your lifetime, but a lot of people have long memories and will never forgive or forget.
  13. To quote Ricky Gervais "Offence can only be taken, not given"
  14. If all of your fans Have six fingers per hand Thats the Rovers If you're in the mire And two grounds have been on fire Thats the Rovers If you hate dem gurt teds And punch horses in heads Thats the Rovers If you steal from your club And sell out of date grub Thats the Rovers
  15. The landlady (Karen) isn't anything as far as I know but her fella is G*s but I dont think he watches them much (similar to the rest of that lot tbf). Always a few proper old school City in there (Russ, Neil etc) and a couple of fewers but for some strange reason it seems mostly Spurs, Everton and Man U. Decent boozer though.
  16. Yep, Wally bought him an Amazon Echo in the January sales. Alexa, why can't Nicholls hit a cow's arse with a banjo? Alexa, why have I got a tramp playing in midfield? Etc, etc.
  17. Admittedly, I was wrong. He played in Euro 96 not France 98. My fault as most of the 90's was a bit of a blur. Edit: in fact that is wrong too. He actually played 1 u21 game at some point. It just backs up my point about the 90's. I could swear I saw a billboard in Toulouse in 98 mentioning those players but I'm obviously totally wrong!
  18. I think you might be right there. It was a great tournament for innuendo no matter what. You could have De Koch Fuchs Arce and Suker Kuntz and Quim. Utterly wonderful word play.
  19. That's why France 98 was great, you had the following players there. .. De Koch Suker Fuchs Kuntz
  20. 7" extra reach will win it for AJ tonight. Keep Povetkin on the outside.
  21. Strangely, the few (no pun intended) that I know either don't want to talk about it, or admit they are an embarrassment and can't see any light at the end of the tunnel. Also strangely, they were happy to spout nonsense about them being super-rich, were coming for us etc, when Wally took over. I tried to explain that Wally and family aren't as wealthy as they think and was met by the response "Yeah he is, you've just read a load of bullshit on OTIB". Congratulations OTIB, not only is there OTIB, there is also OFIB (One Forum In Bristol)....
  22. Ivorguy, whilst I completely understand your point of view, it is one that fell out of fashion a very long time ago. Yes, in a perfect world all football fans could sit side by side with no animosity. Unfortunately, your era was a very long time ago and there has been a lot of change since then, hence the majority of City fans will have been brought up to dislike the fewest and vice-versa. Make no mistake, our backwards friends from Horfield hate us more than we hate them for the simple fact they know we have surpassed them in every way as club. Besides, the vast majority of us remember the 80's when they tried to steal our ground, as well as having the upper hand in the regular games between us (I will never forget them pipping us to the Div 3 title in 89/90). Their time was then (and didn't they let us know it at any opportunity), ours is now and any City fan that doesn't enjoy it either hasn't ever had to experience those years, can remember when fans used to follow both clubs, or are indifferent to them because for whole generation they haven't been a threat. Personally, I wouldn't wish them to go bust as I have a lot of good mates who are staunch R*vers but if they did go bust I would laugh my head off the same as I did when they were relegated to the Conference.
  23. Yeah, through the window of Price Waterhouse Coopers offices if they're not careful.
