  1. Great post as per Havana. One of the things I will miss most in the post-season will be your match day threads, so I would like to say a big thanks for all the effort you have put in over the last 9 months. Anyway, back to today. I genuinely hope that we get a good result, not so it sends Brum down as I couldn't care less about that, but so we can take a bit of optimism into next season after what has been a pretty difficult one this time around. Wouldn't it be great if the majority of us fans were united instead of divided and we all had something to look forward to and enjoy for a whole 9 months instead of thinking of the next game with trepidation? As Havana pointed out, I think young Mr Abraham deserves one of the best send-offs we can possibly give him today as he's consistently been one of the few shining lights in an otherwise depressing season. He has shown a great attitude and humility since arriving in August and I think we all wish him the absolute best for the rest of his career. He arrived as a kid but left as a man. BCFC (south west) 2- BCFC (midlands) 0
  2. I nearly forgot 6017 days. Almost 16.5 years.

  4. Santas Grotto Feng Shui UWE Reporting us to the FA for signing their best player for a handful of change.
  5. Radio Bristol just mentioned the Swedish fans that have come over. Edit: just saw I was a bit slow posting that
  6. I think you'll find that the wages we offered wasn't the issue according to SL. Gayle wanted to stay in the Prem and Gray thought Burnley were a better option. Now, if you said we went for unrealistic targets you would have a valid point.
  7. Agree Hav. Pembo dragged us up from the depths of relegation last season and seemed to be the only member of the coaching staff to have that bit of steel about him. Him and Dave Coles are the only members of the coaching staff I would've been happy to keep after this shambolic season. Still, at least Lee has one of his best mates to keep him company on the training pitch now...... I've also heard (no idea how true this is) that JP had Tomlin by the throat after last weekends match, which led to his sacking. He deserves a bloody medal for that, not a P45.
  8. Or when we won League 1 at a canter they managed to sneak promotion to the football league.
  9. You see, that's the point I was trying to make. My best friend is a G*s season ticket holder and when they were relegated to non-league I never said a word to him as I knew he would be hurting. Since they have started to be successful (relatively, considering the leagues they have been competing in), he's been all over social media giving it large about their success and how shit we were for the first half of last season and how they're coming for us. The thing is, I feel I should have patience and not bite (let alone point out the massive gap between us) but im getting to the end of my tether as I feel I did the right thing and put football rivalries to one side for the benefit of my mate, only to have it thrown back in my face once they started winning games.
  10. I kind of feel sorry for all they've been through as a club recently. After all, most of us live/work with and are friends with people of the blue persuasion and I personally pity them. Then all that changed when I found myself working next to one of the blue few and he started spouting the myth that Wally (or more accurately, Where's Wallet) is worth £80 billion and they are the 7th richest club in the world. I laughed so much I honestly couldn't speak to him for the rest of the day. I thought that would be the end of it when he then introduced me to his work colleague who was also another fewer. This new guy then tried telling me that the Al Qadi family are worth £160 billion and WAQ is worth at least £60 billion on his own. After my tears of laughter eventually subsided, I asked himto Google the Forbes Rich List and tell me where WAQ ranks amongst the worlds elite. He then spent half an hour looking at his phone before telling me Bill Gates was worth £50 billion and walking off.........He hasn't said a word to me since. I would like to think I'm trying to educate people to look through the smokescreen but in reality all I'm doing is confusing the lowest common denominator and it makes me feel kind of dirty.
  11. I don't know how long ago that was, but in the early 90's I know that a few of their players used to take drugs regularly on a Thursday night in papillons. Not naming names obviously, but I actually saw them doing them on a number of occasions.
  12. "I still think we are amongst the best fans in the country as you only have to look at how many still turned up when we were in the conference and staring administration in the face, with the ongoing wonga fiasco" You've almost gotta admire their dedication to the delusion. They've obviously forgotten the likes of Wimbledon AFC who rebuilt a club, or the likes of Pompey who pull crowds of nearly double theirs amongst others....
  13. As far as I'm concerned, he can win it until they lose to Fleetwood in the first game of next season.
  14. That is probably the greatest post in the history of the internet.
  15. Alright my babbers, from Downend. Good write up as per Havana. I'm going for a sneaky, backs to the wall 1-0 win. Flint header. Big shout out to all those heading up there.
