  1. Where’s the King @Davefevs when we need him……….
  2. That’s pretty much the norm now, a bid could be as simple as a chat between a chairman, CEO, director or even manager between 2 clubs
  3. City might want to know 'Intention' from potential clubs, but would they really tell us about potential bids in order to help us look at replacements? They will want to keep cards close to chest in the hope it helps keeps potential price down.
  4. Without the news for scrolling through, but what was your original post?
  5. I literally looked on Paddy Power earlier to assess our odds, currently 40/1 to win league so you'd be looking at 10s for Top 3 - wouldnt mind looking at odds for promotion
  6. I can’t believe no1 has put up a ‘Best Of’ video for him yet……………..
  7. Re Pring There have been some tentative enquiries from “lower end Prem clubs” in last couple months, but I also know City are in talks to improve his contract again such as his new squad status deserves
  8. Iv played it religiously probably for near on 20 years, but there’s one player that always stands out…… Not everyone can play ANYWHERE! Champ Manager 97/98 edition
  9. There may have been an element of including Kalas and JD so they could get chance to say goodbye to home fans as unlikely they will renew contracts. Pearson has said a few times that selling Semenyo meant he could get players in January rather than in summer (more aimed at Cornick than Mehmeti I believe), and in the few games he’s played for us I do belive Mehmeti could have been signed as an option to replace Scott. He’s creative enough to play in that position, and would allow us to keep genuine pace in the wide areas
  10. I agree, thought the highest we would pay for a player would be £1m. But do you also think City may be happy to pay double for a key area (ie RCB) and someone who can come in and do a job straight away, rather than a young prospect from lower league who needs time to develop (ie Currie)?
  11. I mentioned this idea to my brother at the weekend, if Pearson wants to keep pace out wide (ie Bryan, Bell, Sykes) then Mehmeti would be perfect down the middle with his trickery and scored plenty for Wycombe. Maybe Joe signing allows this too?
  12. Anyone know any of the above where I can try watching tonight’s big prem match……. Cheers in advance
  13. I don’t think we’ll be changing formations for one player, especially with the reasonable success we’ve had with this new formation. IF Bryan signs he will compete with Pring for left back, or could even play further forward as left side of 3 up top. Pearson wants more players with good physical attributes (strong, quick, good stamina) that can fill numerous positions so Joe fits the bill.
  14. Well in the build up to the goal, Pring made a bad clearance (with his weaker foot) and then lost the man who made the assist for goal. Tanner was marking the goalscorer, but didnt track his run behind (he had just made an attacking run shortly before) and couldnt get back, resulting in him literally walking towards goal when the player was shooting rather than carry on playing, and being ready for a potential rebound. Not a gripe at either player, just stating what happened as both have been stand out players for me this year.
  15. As others have said, a young spirited team in transition and not a million miles off being a decent team at this level. If Pearson can bring in 5/6 good squad players that can offer competition in key area's then we should push on next year aiming for that illusive 6-13th group of teams. Looking ahead to next year, would it be safe to say Bell probably needs a good L1 loan next year to play week in week out and build confidence at a lower level? He's proven himself to show good promise and potential, but now he needs to hone his skills playing regularly somewhere else to "grow up"
  16. City double chance (win and draw) is good option today
  17. Watched from home today. Despite City having decent spells of possession and attacking “intent” we didn’t really trouble them enough and I think it’s fair to say a few players are prob already on summer holidays. Bar his superb finish a few weeks back, Weimann is a shadow of his former self - evens the relentless running and energy seems to have gone.
  18. We get to see Scott at least 4 more times before he leaves in the summer. His quality shone today
  19. Fouls are the way forward in this 'betting' game - Man City are the most fouled team in the league, and with City being technically being superior to us and having roughly 70% possession all game, it amounts to lots of niggly fouls from our guys to stop them all over the pitch. I have a bet with Tanner, Kalas, Vyner, Pring, James, Williams, Scott and Weimann (he may not start but he will come on) for 1 foul each which works out at roughly 72/1
  20. He’s no longer the unsung hero many of us had already noticed
  21. I don’t buy the shirts anymore, and im not overly bothered about how they look - it’s more important having the right players wearing them ? That said the one thing I’m confident about with those moaning about the new Supplier being a somewhat lesser known brand, is that with our new management team I’m sure we will have to very best deal available which is very important considering our long term financial plan
  22. Iv not been impressed by Man City recently, and they don’t seem to score as many goals as they did earlier in the season. Pep still can’t work out his favoured formation/players and that’s let Arsenal and Man U in this season. You only have to see with teams like Forest that with some hard work, patience and lots of luck you can get a result. Realistically I don’t think we can compete as defensively we don’t have many options, but if we can give them a good game generally il come out happy
  23. As much as Kalas is an excellent defender, we have lost our passing game since Atkinson came off as both Kalas and Vyner seem more comfortable with the long balls, which dosnt suit our small front 3. Let’s hope Atkinson injury isn’t serious as having him and Naismith out at same time will effect our general play
  24. Not sure what happened but a man in Dolman Block B row U (in yellow coat) was asked to show ticket I believe, and then 2 security ladies escorted him out and he never came back. No idea what happened there??
