Depends on the stage of the sales tbh. I’ve got no idea when bears went on sale / priority periods end but if it’s still in week 1-2 I’d expect few emails then activity to be ramped up as it gets nearer deadline day - all that’s happened here is names on a database and automated mails. Bears activity will ramp up as it gets nearer deadline day

But, once more, that still means they know if you’ve renewed to not send you a reminder mail so not releasing figures is bizarre….

Take Bris out of it, anecdotally it feels like I’ve been contacted a lot more by City this time than previous years (I always renew towards the end as I’d just rather have my money as long as possible!) and to me that feels pretty desperate when coupled with the lack of numbers being released also.

    It’s not desperate

as they have your details and you have not renewed it’s a computer ultimatum same as any other company’s systems

Funny that Bears also have my details and have only mailed me once…….

"At the final whistle the Emirates Stadium was already half empty ....."  so begins the guardian's reflection on Arsenal losing yesterday.

It looked way less than that even at the end.  I get it why our fanbase do it - I don't, but we have been meh for years now and I'm surprised we still get the levels of support we currently do atm so people can do what the heck they want Imo - but for Arsenal fans to do it after the run they have had surprised me a lot and if I was a player Id be seriously cheesed off (then Id go and look at my wage slip and everything would be ok again!).

I think that despite it being the close season and we don’t have much to play for as a collective, it’s good knowing we have gotten results against teas with something to play for. Blackburn, Plymouth, Leicester all have something to play for. Happy with another clean sheet too!

Yep. This is a really good point and it’s really good to see.  Credit has to be given for that. Lots of people on here saying it doesn’t matter what we do in these games almost as an excuse, but it really does of Manning wants to begin start to win large sections of the fanbase around.  Important to not let the season slip away and tbf to them they haven’t.

We still need a couple of new attacking players (pace and power) despite the result tonight, but IF we can keep our key players fit next season then i think we can push for a top 10 finish.

Blackburn didn't turn up tonight but they are no mugs. We played well and pressed from the front. I'm really pleased for Manning 👏

We should been pushing for top 10 this season.  Pearson or Manning.  Anything less than 10th would be a disappointment.  As said elsewhere let’s see some proper consistency. Long shot but we may well yet make it.

Wow some absolute whoppers early in this thread. Shocking people were actually calling for him to be sacked.

BS Bots out in force already.   Over time is it?

I know I have gone early on this. But what a half of football from him. Really good footballer.

Said elsewhere that I think he could be a transfer out in the making. Very very good player so hope I’m wrong but I don’t think his performances will be going unnoticed.

Whether it’s the weather, end of season nothing to play for vibes or Channel 5 showing “Air Friers: Sunday Dinner Made Simple” it’s far less busy than normal down here.

Not surprised.  At least 5 of our lot not going this evening, for reasons that are genuine but wouldn’t be insurmountable if we were doing half decent and / or exciting to watch.  Pays your money etc though!

There are so many on here who are still so in love and obsessed with Pearson that they will never accept any other manager, and they will search to find any reason to criticise that new manager rather than give him a chance. Pathetic really.

Who’s mentioned Pearson? Or are you just making it up?

Not sure why the Bears season ticket holders all get their names plastered over our football stadium but it's long past feeling like a football ground anyway.

Saw this and thought it very odd too.
However for me Ashton Gate feels purely like a place where our club plays these days as opposed to ‘our’ home. And I say that as a Bris supporter also so nothing against them whatsoever.  I was so happy when it was announced we were staying at AG but these days geography is the only thing that makes me glad we stayed.  It’s a confused mess.

You're looking at Cardiff's goals for I think. We've got 44 so far this season. I guess we'll get another 5 or 6 and end up with about 50. Total Football. Don't worry though, Brain will be securing the services of a top forward or two in the Summer, because luckily, no other teams are after any.

The most un-Freudian slip, if ever there was one (completely agree with the sentiment as well!) !

We are safe with nothing to play for so now is the time Manning let’s us see what he has in store for us next season, the remaining games are about performance and will quite happy take defeats if we see improvement

Ideally I want both. Front foot, attacking football that is going to take us toward the top.  It’s what we were told was going to happen.
Tbf to Manning at one point I didn’t think we’d have 54 points all season it was so bad so he’s pulled it back from that.   But at the start of the season I wanted 10th place minimum. Anything less to me is failure this season, it would’ve been with Pearson and will be with the Manning.

Do you honestly believe that the football wasn’t poor before Manning came

We were promised improvement. With this squad.  So even if your argument was correct (I disagree) it’s not relevant.
