  1. I apologise. Shall retract!
  2. It was beautiful last night seeing all those crying Welsh boyos. All their hopes and expectations up in smoke. Reasons such as the flag you referenced above are why it makes it so sweet!
  3. Not going to go through the points made but finished listening and wanted to say very well done to@petehinton @ELJones and Del. Didn’t agree with everything said, especially Del on a few bits, but it was all done in a grown up, sensible and most importantly passionate manner. Good on you all. The host was still far too protective of the hierarchy for my liking but again fair enough, he’s got a job to protect. @Davefevs excellent at the end as well (notice the interviewer didn’t challenge your figures like he did earlier in the piece!)
  4. That’s cringey AF. Good god we are really losing it……
  5. Even the kit was amazing!
  6. Thank you both - really appreciate it
  7. Great to see. Shouldn’t have let him go. Consumate pro who evidently still has a lot to give and the kind of leader we need, on and off the pitch. Get that he may have wanted to be a bit nearer to home now though, but seems strange it all happened so quickly once the management changed. Good for him though whatever.
  8. Hi @Topper 123 bit of a random one but don’t suppose you are doing flags again or if you can recommend anyone if not? Or anyone else for that matter. Struggling to find anywhere decent. Cheers!
  9. Narrative narrative narrative
  10. It was undoubtedly a great day out and there are some very funny stories from that day, but given our resources we should be looking at proper Wembley days out, not the Mickey Mouse Cup. Way were currently going though it’ll be the Mickey again before anything else
  11. How is it ‘disrespectful’? We didn’t even have any reference at all to the St George’s flag on any shirts until the 2000s. It’s a bloody badge on the back of a collar and it’s been messed with before and I don’t remember people getting so bent out of shape about it then. There are a million and one things more worthy of people’s ire going on at the moment in this country. Shame people don’t care and vent so much about those things!!
  12. I think you are reading far far far too much into it.
  13. I was very very close to moving to London 20 plus years ago. My plan was to get a ST at Wimbledon who were playing at Selhurst at the time in the Prem (ticket was much cheaper than City at the time) in order to get my fix and then watch City as and when money allowed. The move got canned last minute, but if it hadnt I would’ve just had to get on with not being able to afford to go to City every week. Guess my point is that it would’ve been a life choice to move to London and a sacrifice would’ve had to have been City and I’m not really sure why the club would’ve had to subside my choice in any way shape or form.
  14. Forest. Their constant bleating about their overspending penalty and how unjust it is is bad enough. But add in the constant moaning about refereeing decisions they have had (and actually bringing in Clattenburg to challenge them and then moaning even more when refs won’t engage with him!) makes me just want them to go. Never liked them since Amici / Calderwood etc season so sod ‘em! Yes but got 2 points back for being helpful. What a piss take!! If I was an Everton fan I’d be screwing.
  15. Quite bloody right they got deducted. Should’ve been more. Taking the piss with their ‘why should we balance the books when they are due if we can make more money afterwards’ excuse. Hope they go down.
  16. No disrespect but why on earth would he come here when he’s flying at Coventry. Not happening anytime soon.
  17. Fair enough. Give me looking forward to Champions League finals, top 4 finishes, serious title tilts, semis at Wembley, cup finals and cup wins etc etc any day. I disagree massively but like I said fair play to you.
  18. Really?! Blimey. To each their own but for European trips and the memories made alone I’d take any of them (bar palace who I don’t think have been there any time recently - even then you’d be getting better away day experiences and at least winning when you get relegated).
  19. I think the fact that our club deems it fit to celebrate early round cup wins from 50 and 30 years ago like we actually did something incredible (an actual kit launch ffs) tells us everything we need to know about what we currently are as a club and have been for the last 30 odd years. It’s stale, it’s stagnant and as you say it’s dull. We really really need new impetus at the top and badly, coupled with people who have proper footballing smarts and nouse. The amateurs leading our club just need to leave the room as soon as possible.
  20. It will be a big attendance because it’s Bank Holiday. Lose that game and then let’s see what the attendances are against Blackburn and Huddersfield which will be a much fairer reflection.
  21. It was a text before the Pyongyang party political broadcast: ‘ Another shambles. Club is rotten to the core. Wouldn’t trust Lansdown to run a suburban league team. Happy clappers wanting to give Manning the summer are clueless……’
  22. Manning is gutless. Take some ‘ing responsibility man. Every week it’s the same crap. ‘No belief’? I wonder why. ‘No quality’? I wonder why. ‘Lack of response to going behind’? I wonder why. It’s you Manning. ‘Not lost the game because of your tactics’? Well guess what, we have and they are your tactics Manning. And your ‘plan and pattern’ are complete and utter shite judging by what we have seen. When are we going to hear him say I got it wrong? He’d get a modicum of respect if he did but he just cannot do it. It’s a pathetic trait for a ‘leader’.
