  1. Bcfc 1982were formed and the creditors agreed 20 in the £. Theŕe was no bankruptcy. The old company were later wound up.
  2. And received a life presidency for services to BRFC for his troubles, along with the £2m owed to him and, I have it on good advice tha a plot of land in Filton, also changed hands with AH and the rugby directors receiving that land, to agree the original deal.
  3. I've heard there's a hotel with parking in Uxbridge, with direct access to Wembley via the tube.
  4. I have a feeling we have players lined up should somone move on, or we receive some sell on money. If not, we'll have a back up plan as make do until Jan.
  5. I wonder if they'll play ' I'm on my way" at the end?

    What a mess

This is far too sensible a post for this site, can it be removed please.

    What a mess

What a massive over reaction. 2 games, 2 L which could and should have returned at least 2pts. Get a grip Ivor.
  8. Any chance people know a way of watching from a hospital, via Robins TV? I can't make it today.
  9. Correct, no application for Severnside, Hengrove, or Carsons green. Permission grated at the rugby ground after nobbling the committee. Permission granted for UWE after they proved it was needed, by inflating the attendance at Wembley, where grandparents, little children friends and their pets were al cajolled into pretending they were regulars.

    Hi

    That's Bob the builder.?

    Hi

I've noticed a loud whining sound in the Lansdown recently.?
  12. Not making a fuss, just using a format available to me to express an opinion. Just as you have. If you don't like it, don't make a fuss about it.
  13. Are you telling me that the wages of players, coaches, physio's, and all related expenses related to the womens team, along with the income from games, is included in the calculations relating to ffp and submitted to the football league? ? I think you are wrong and, their finances are seperate from the mens team, even if they have a parent company. I started supporting my team in 1966 and it's only in recent times that the club have incorporated a womens team. Probably to try and increase the customer base as a whole. The previous associated team was abandonned. So forgive me if I personally don't recognise them as my team. As for representative of all supporters by the SC&T, it plainly is not. Otherwise there wouldn't be those questioning the survey. I'm certain it doesn't represent the whole views of our supporter base, merely those that choose to be a part of it..
  14. With respect, I disagree. When I attend Ashton Gate I go to support Bristol City, or if someone asks what team I support I say Bristol City, the team and things that benefit the team, like the pathway to the team. Anything else is part of the overall umbrella, they are seperate from my team and I'm sure they're not included in the ffp football league rules.
  15. This might not be popular but I support Bristol City Football Club. I have absolutely no interest in womens football. The womens team is an addition and I don't as such recognise their association to my team, I only support one team. It holds no interest for me, I have nothing against womens sport but I don't want to see it. Fortunately I was allowed to omit comments on it. Do we have a darts team, skittles team, fishing team, quiz team? If we do, then why not include these in the survey. Add the under 23's and academy teams as well, if this is about inclusivity, which it seems to be.
  16. Not a horse then, disguising themselves as a fan, for fear of a smack in the face.?
  17. Looks like Holloway, Alfie Biggs and their new keeper Bajic.
  18. I take it, he's been exposed and probably needs a pot to piss in.
  19. He was made honourary captain for the one game. Known as captain Morgan thereafter.
  20. Sadly not, this was the earlier one that I'd mentioned. He made a cameo appearance and looked as if he could still play at a good level, not sure of his then age but I think he was in his forties.
  21. Help required for a fading memory. Can anyone recall a testimonial match where Bobby Charlton made a guest appearance. I believe it was late 70's or early 80's. When he was on the pitch, he ran the show, even though he'd been retired quite a while. It wasn't the 66 WC squad testimonial of the early 70's. Thanks in advance.
  22. I'm speaking from memory here regarding the Atyeo stand but, we had advisors within the club who seemed scared of upsetting the relationship that the club had with the planning department, I'd had meetings with them re boxes in the Dolman. As a result of that fear, the Atyeo stand was not built to it's possible height, or depth in proximity to the houses while still meeting planning guidance. So in current planning laws it could be rebuilt mirroring the South Stand. As far as the Dolman is concerned, it also could be built higher and closer to the existing flats. There is a space of nearly 4mts to the rear which could be built with an overhanging rake. This would allow emergency vehicles access along the rear of the stand, something required by law, as there's no access to parts of the ground from all sides. The lower Dolman is a hotchpotch of gangways, so a completely new stand would improve that and have a capacity increased to about 10k. So between those two increases we'd possibly add another 5k seats. Not needed currently but, I'm of the belief and more positive in my thoughts that, we could be a more successful club, with a much larger support base and we must aim higher. There's absolutely no reason why we couldn't compete with the majority of premiership clubs. Why think otherwise?
  23. Classic gas that. Completely lacking in style and class. It's basically a crass sickly monstrosity.
  24. Will Hull is a bit of a poser.
