  1. Very brave of you to put that news onto a public forum. You have my support in your battle, keep up the dialogue if and when you can, it might help.
  2. Mrs Rich went out with friends the other day. After about an hour, I realised that I didn't actually have Tinnitus.
  3. What a strange response. I don't believe anybody wants you to "step away", I've not suggested it, in fact I stated that I welcomed your contributions, normally. The thing is with regards to this subject, you haven't actually contributed anything whatsoever. You have made a couple of off the cuff comments directed at myself. Commented that it would be pointless if everybody just posted tit for tat comments, which is exactly what you did with your glass houses comment and also what Miah has done, yet you liked his comment. I'm sorry if the subject is uncomfortable for you and, as pointed out, all clubs have idiots. This subject is about the disproportionate amount of idiots BRFC seems to be troubled with currently and in recent times. Would you care to offer your thoughts on those matters?
  4. I agree, the list is endless over the years but, I've been trying to keep it relevant to recent times.
  5. The only people digging holes are you and your hoppo Miah. Then you've buried your respective heads in them, hoping that the facts I'm stating will just go away and, your beloved club isn't seen in a bad light. It would appear that over a period of time you and Miah have had an easier ride on here, than some other supporters of BRFC, who just want to have a dig and I welcome both of your contributions usually. In your case I wonder if being a female cuts you a bit more slack. But please, if you're going to post on our site, have something disputing or even constructive to say on the relevant topic, rather than trying to be clever and, failing miserably.
  6. In answer to your first point. By obvious, I mean, the figures quoted prove that proportionately there have been more incidents in recent times carried out by supporters of BRFC, than anything by BCFC supporters. So in that respect it's obvious. Potentially it could change, as we all know but, I'm referring to recent times and events involving BRFC supporters. Second point. As previously stated, the figures are there for you to see which proves that at this time BRFC have a problem with more people carrying out misdemeanors proportionately, than Bristol City supporters. You are aware of those figures and haven't disputed them. Armed with that knowledge, you claimed that City were just as bad. Definition of a lie: To make a false statement with the intention to mislead, deceive, an intentional untruth. You might call that an opinion, I call it a lie. I'm very happy to condemn any violence, regardless of who does it.
  7. Said the greenhouse dweller. Isolated incidents at AG nowadays, compared to regular incidents in recent years at the Memorial ground and GHS travels. Of course we have our share of idiots, but that's not why I posted, I did it to highlight Rovers problems. We have our own problems, they're covered under things concerning BCFC. You can post negative comments about City on your rag. No doubt it varies year on year and club on club but, your lot seem to be more prevalent in recent years and, like your hoppo, you haven't taken into account the disparity in the percentage of incidents related to crowd size. Of course that's if the friendly local media have actually decided to print stories, or hide them in the BRFC columns, never to be seen by anyone other than true blue family club supporters, who'd smash your effin head in if you don't support da gas, and that's just the mums. A little out of date and only an example of what I'm saying regards actual attendances, but I believe still quite relevant: The football clubs with the most fans banned from watching games - Bristol Live (bristolpost.co.uk)
  8. "Maybe I shouldn't have quoted you", is that an apology? You have misrepresented me. I was not happy to paint a picture of hooliganism being specifically a Rovers problem. I was merely pointing out that BRFC do appear to have a problem and, in my most recent post I highlighted what I believe to be a bigger problem proportionately, due to the number of supporters attending and having a higher than usual amount of misdemeanors. Even though you claim "other teams, including City, are just as bad", which is obviously not the case. I've also posted this on a topic dedicated to BRFC, not other clubs. Is this another misrepresentation from you, or a blatant lie?
  9. I never mentioned anything about beating up Peterborough fans, or, that it was fine, where did you dream that up? Oh! I forgot, pathological liars. Got anything to say about the disproportionate amount of unsavory events surrounding BRFC and the Memorial ground? By disproportionate, I refer to the amount of fans actually turning up to games and committing offences, when compared to clubs with far bigger supporter bases. Note I haven't mentioned the unsavory JB this time, just the supporters.
  10. Looks like they've got a few off field problems running through the club. How many times have they been investigated and charged by the FA? Pitch invasions, numerous. Banning orders. Punching horses. Assault on Swindon fan. Manager awaiting trial for assault. This is the "Family" club. Bristol Rovers charged by FA following pitch invasions during and after Scunthorpe United win - Bristol Live (bristolpost.co.uk)
  11. Clayfield Rd holds many memories for me, it was the go to place with injury's from being in the park and, the cut through to Sherwell. Two mates lived there, Gary Coomer at No.10 and Mike Davis up the hill on the right. Plus the Chaffey's.
  12. That's the only fixture I didn't look for and has to be the one, 11th August 1973, Peterborough 1 City 2. Thought it was a bigger game than that, at the time. Something happened with Gerry Gow if my memory serves me correctly.
  13. I ran a coach once from Briz to Peterborough in a cup match, I just can't seem to find reference to it anywhere, about1973, Took their end and had a few run ins. It was so long ago that it was a buglers coach and Shem, Minnie and a couple of others tagged along. Then they damaged the effin seats, Buglers wouldn't take any more bookings. My one and only coach.?
  14. He's 71, just that fuddled, he just thinks he's 51.
  15. It's so we can be guaranteed two defeats or, two home wins for the opposition, plus Blackburn also away in Sept with only one home game, same in March one home game.
  16. Not just half the ground, the other so called legit half portion was bought for £2m, which the rugby club saw none of. That £2m was for a 50% share in the Memorial stadium Company that owned real estate that Dunford stated was worth £6m, so, a good deal for Rovers and the rugby club, were words used. I can't seem to find the quotes of the time in the Bristol Post archives.
  17. Ahh! I forgot that bit. When I say I support City, I mean that I actually go and support them. Rovers seem to have always had the "supporters" that don't actually go to the games. Used to be found in Broadmead with their scarves on while, Rovers were playing a mile and a half down the road.
  18. Could there be anything more painful?
  19. I agree entirely with your sentiments regarding his money and how it was gained. I do however think that those with such riches, show a little more decorum and humility when posting things on public forums, it might come over as big headed and crass. After all those posts will be seen by people who effectively pay his wages and might well be struggling in the present climate to provide a roof over their heads, food on the table and clothing. It's called class I think and some just don't have it.
  20. New Milton sounds a ball. The area is generally known as Bournemouth, as in the conurbation, especially to people from outside the area. Do they have political spats between the different authorities like here?
  21. I do apologise for not being as accurate as you'd like, I was of course using Bournemouth as a general term for the whole area, how foolish of me. I see it's average age is 44, while in Bristol it is 32.4, depending on where you research the figures, the area as a whole having one of the highest average ages in the country. In recent years it's been overtaken by it's neighbour Portsmouth as the city with most retirement properties, but still ranks second in the amount of housing for retirees. I was using my memory of historical information about the area as a whole, where traditionally people from London retired to. I bow to your greater knowledge and will try harder in the future.
  22. I'd have to agree with you that waiting is always prudent, as the better players will also be waiting. They'll be hoping for a big club, with large fan base, unique identifiable kit, and playing in a brand new stadium will come in for them.
  23. You forgot to mention that "these things take time".
  24. As far as recruitment goes, do you think the owner would let JB go ahead with possible signings while there's a threat of a conviction over his head? If Barton is convicted, he'd most probably lose his position as manager and, any new manager would want to build his own squad, which won't be easy in a very short space of time. That's unless the owner has morals like Barton and will continue to employ him even with a possible custodial sentence, with Joey giving his team talks and instructions whilst inside. Sounds like a perfect storm brewing.
