  1. Message on club website reads: ROBINS TV Popular pundit and commentator Rene Gilmartin will feature on Tuesday night's exclusive Robins TV Live matchday show. Coverage starts at 6.30pm, with the Robins TV matchday programme featuring multi-angle, multi-replay production, commentary and expert analysis - for just £10. Robins TV will be the only place to watch the match, with it not featuring on the Sky Sports red button.
  2. The most stupid nickname of all is calling us the "Robins".......alongside Swindle, Cheltenham, Frome Town....etc., etc., - and that nasty fat bird!
  3. If you click on the "Buy the Northampton Town package now" link, you'll see that you do NOT have the option to buy the Northampton Town package now!!!
  4. Alan Dicks - then we can all shout "Dicks out", again, when he fails to deliver....
  5. IMO, the club needs to pay what it takes to get the best person for the job - whoever they consider that man to be! I can never understand why ridiculous wages are paid to players who might end up losing form, or getting injured, when managers are lower down the wage bill pecking order. After all, its managers who make the big decisions (selection, tactics, formation, substitutions, etc...), and at the end of the day, play a major part in determining whether a club gets promoted, or relegated...
  6. Sorry, that should have read “one of the wise guys on here”!
  7. Absolutely! See: posting at top of page 22 of this thread, which received a certain amount of abuse from some of the wise guys on here!
  8. ... and look whats happened with our team, in a week!!! ....regarding the appointment, when a top manager like Hughton becomes available, and "expresses an interest", then there's no point in waiting until another, probably more attractive club, comes in with a more positive offer...! Exactly!!!
  9. The club needs to gets its finger out, and make a decision. All this faffing about, maybe waiting 'til the season ends, could mean we lose the best pickings, especially when relegation/promotion issues are sorted, and the managerial merry go round gets into full swing.
  10. I've received and entered my code, and its been accepted. When I go back into Robins tv on the club's main site, it now tells me I have no subscriptions.... Is there another tab/button I should be using?
  11. Nice. Crap team, but... Great city, fantastic stadium, and cool strip!
  12. Just can't believe how easy that booking was! Almost as easy as beating the Shrews.....! Oops, thought that was too good to be true!
  13. That’s at least four reasons why ours is a truly naff nickname and badge! Hardly “unique” and “distinctive “ - as claimed by JL!
  14. ... and why is it a “nickname”? Simply because a robin has a red breast (some would argue with that, suggesting it’s orange!). Lots of other objects are red - and lots of other teams play in red. So our new crest is hardly unique or distinctive: it certainly doesn’t match the “brand”! Fella!
  15. ....so what does a robin have to do with the club? It's RED!!! Dohhh...might as well have a pillar box, or a "stop" traffic light! A pretty childish logo, IMO. And, with so many other clubs claiming to be "The Robins", its hardly as unique and distinctive of Bristol as JL claimed, in the launch. At least the Suspension Bridge is an instantly recognised, iconic symbol of Bristol - and can be seen at the stadium approach, and from the top of the Lansdown Stand. Thats a bit better....
  16. I see that "Smith" captained the side. was this Korey? Great news, if so!
  17. Two and six. Wasted far too many chances.
  18. Some good points there, f_i_z, and I agree with many of them. I started watching Western League football with my ol' man when I was knee high to a grasshopper. Good view of the match, leaning against cold, rusty rails behind the mud heap that was the home goal. After a disgusting tasting Bovril at half time,I then wandered to the opposite end with a dozen or so other fans, as the teams changed ends... Travelled by train to see Bristol City when I started at grammar school - and that in itself seemed, in comparison, "miles away"! The point I was trying to make, in the op, was that the
