  1. Join us live @ 9.00 Wednesday as we review the match action. If only Nahki's effort had gone in rather than hit the post Mehmeti - decent goal and deserved another but for a fine save MOL saves penalty but Pring skinned by former player Wes Burns; should he have even started? Does this ease the pressure on LM? Plenty for DaveP, Mark, Ian, Tom & DaveFevs to talk about.
  2. Amidst our detractors it is morale boosting to read the more positive posts like this one from @RedRock. Our Ipswich review will be LIVE & recorded at 9.00 AM Wednesday and will feature, amongst others @Davefevs & @TomSutton .
  3. Ah, yes - IIRC you're the guy on the text feed who said I'd lost the plot and should let Ian Gay host the podcast. Can't please everyone!
  4. Banker away upset Tuesday then. Main game on Sky isn't it?
  5. DaveP debates the Severnside derby live on You Tube & "X" @ 09.00 Sunday [available on Spotify etc. from midday] with Ian, Mark & the Suttons. Give us your thoughts on the live text chat. 9 points from a possible 33 tells its own story. Are we in free fall, what needs to change to arrest the decline? Defenders of LM [are there any left?] will say injuries have taken their toll but a list including a lad [Benarous] who hasn't played for two years, a defender [Atko] who's been out for a year plus a "sicknote" in Naismith who's availability is less than 50% dents that argument. Yes, if fit, Twine would start but James, Bell & Tanner have not always been first choice selections. A probable 1 point return from the next 3 games [L-D-L] will put us in the relegation battle good & proper but wait, after that there are 13 days to get out on the grass to prepare the players for the Good Friday encounter with faltering Leicester. That doesn't fill me with confidence based on the performances of late when the absence of a midweek fixture has allowed for more training time!!!
  6. Yes, it's 9.00 Sunday. Need those extra hours to calm down
  7. With an announced attendance today of 24035, taking out Cardiff and our season tickets I reckon that's around 7000 who elected to "pay on the day". I've noticed in recent months an increase in the empty seats in the South Stand - are they mainly season ticket holders who make up the announced attendance even though they don't turn up? If yes and if this form continues then I can see a 20% fall off in attendances next season - mainly season ticket holders but also POTD
  8. A minimum 4 wins so we better the 15 we have achieved in each of the past 3 seasons. 16 more points to better last season's 59 So from 12 games that's 4 wins 4 draws & 4 defeats Anything less is abject failure and should lead to exiting Manning
  9. Ian was the one who said that and I believe it was wishful thinking on his part. I heard him ask both Marshall & Tinnion at a Senior Reds lunch in November IIRC with the expectation and assurance from them [according to Ian] that they would participate once the January window closed. Now this might explain, for some, the perception that Ian is trying to court favour with both guys by "defending" the current regime and LM in particular in episodes of FBC since the turn of the year. FWIW I never expected Gavin Marshall to come on to be grilled by Ian, even with me being host, but his evidential elevated ITK "status" does suggest that maybe he IS having some dialogue with BT?
  10. I picked this from James Piercy's excellent piece on the game in Bristol Live and highlighted the part that sums up so many things in our normal day to day lives: The narrative is being allowed to grow that this City team is defined by QPR, Sheffield Wednesday, Preston, Leeds and Millwall rather than Southampton, Middlesbrough, Watford, West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Hull City. In this binary world we live in, where you have to pick a side, and a point of conflict, it’s one or the other, not where it really sits, somewhere in the middle. That’s just boring. Ian Gay's narrative is what it is and I invite anyone to come on the pod and challenge him and no doubt create a point of conflict. I will call him out whilst recognising that I myself flip flop with my views and in so doing rightly labelled for being a knee jerker!
  11. I thought he might have commented on the condition of the pitch not being conducive to fast, front foot, flowing football!
  12. You're welcome any time - just DM me. @Davefevs - more Matty James than Andy King. Should always start when fit!
  13. We too do the occasional one to one interviews like "A Cider with ... and the 3 Peaps equivalent, "Robins Reunited" Here's one I did last year with Gary Shelton: https://www.podbean.com/ew/pb-giwpn-1432e11
  14. Not an ego trip mate. I have other things that fill my day too which by and large mirror yours - whilst I'm not learning another language or building an N gauge model railway I am attempting to learn how to play the clarinet my goal being able to emulate Acker Bilk and play Stranger on the Shore!! Thank you. Being on You Tube has brought new followers who don't "do" podcasts where we can still be found on Spotify & Apple
  15. But that's the whole bloody point. I set up FBC in June 2020 in the middle of lockdown because we couldn't do that! The fact that now over 1000 people listen per episode and since we've gone on You Tube a similar number watch our "faces for radio" panel, shows there is a market for our output.
  16. What "bias" this week from me or Mark?
  17. Ian does not represent the views of ALL City fans but I would argue not all disagree with some of his POV. I called him out on this episode on "fatigue", just two (max) extra games than most FFS! Haven't heard Mowbray at Brum moaning about lack of time training "out on the grass".
  18. https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/who-is-shilen-patel-and-what-does-his-60m-takeover-mean-for-west-brom-2911045 New owner has 88% of the shares which means he can take all decisions [as an aside, can't see what Ratcliffe gets by way of control for just 25% of Man Utd.] Article says current owner has invested £200M so is "losing" £140M by selling. I'm sure the Baggies own their ground and have a training centre - I'd say ours is better than both but that's not the point. What are we worth given these numbers? Certainly not 3x that sum if you believe the figures quoted by some as Lansdown's expectation.
