  1. It’s not ancient history though is it! We still have players on those eye watering wages and we have to sell players to mitigate that! it’s current history.
  2. I think Bell ? himself would be gutted if he was on the bench on Wednesday. But it may or may not be a bad thing!
  3. I agree! Kids Need to stay off the pitch and the adult is responsible if they don’t! However I know nothing of the incident and make no judgement on the behavior of the stewarding, nevertheless if the parent makes the steward the defacto parent due to in attendance then they should behave appropriately!
  4. Exactly who knows what any manager would do. However what Pearson has done is change the culture of the club by Getting rid of LJs dross over an extended period Bought well out of the lower leagues and spent time developing those players. Turned Semenyo into a goalscorer (who started that thread) and sold him for up to 12m with add ons Developed Scott into the best player outside of the premier league Turned Bell and ConwAy into the best young poachers in the division Turned Vyner into player of the season material Given Wells a new lease of life and a contract and developed Weimann into team captain Turned OLeary into a number one that’s as good as anything Put us on a sound financial footing I could go on and on and on. But you are right. Who knows what someone else would have done with Johnson/Ashton and Lansdowns FFP train wreck. What I always find interesting is people saying we had the players to play <enter formation adding up to ten here> obviously we had bodies in the main but you develop systems of play. Thus saying trite shit like I don’t know why we didn’t do XYZ earlier is because those players needed to be developed to play that way. Which of course will be the answer when anyone actually asks the bloke who’s getting paid 100s of thousands to do the job. Someone tell me what was the average age of out back four and goalkeeper today. And what was the average age of our team.
  5. Yes we are so much less likely to concede from dead balls than we were. Without doubt everyone noticed some wayward kicking today. I think max has kicking practice in his future!

    Today's Ref

I didn’t notice him that much (except for what was a clear red card for the push) What I did notice is what a good team we are right now!
  7. Don’t be an idiot. We’ll need him in the Premier League
  8. We were brilliant all across the pitch and from the bench. We have the feeling of a side that will do everything for the cause. Our back four are excellent. We look like we can defend dead balls and we have runners in Bell Weimann Wells Cornick and the lad from Wycombe with Conway to come back. No one wants to play us right now!
  9. Radio Brizz said Pring. Tanner all day long MOM
  10. What makes me laugh is the word altercation. It implies that there was some sort of back and forth. Scott got punched in the head from behind. That Evans is an evil ****, but I like Pearson’s attitude, we have got to learn how to play against sides like this and win. Something we haven’t done well since Gerry left!
  11. He has definitely become more tolerant of journalists. I’m still thinking there was more than met the eye with the now freelance/unemployed McGregor. Not sure if there is a brigade of thou shalt not criticize Niger’s and if there is I’m not sure they would object or be offended as the thrust (without the vitriol) of your first statement is true and most can see it!
  12. The ineptitude of the referee would have been pointed out by the assessor and the subsequent committee that has banned Evans. The Cunningham incident would have been looked at too so I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a ban also. What shocks me is the belters on twitter who think Wells should have been sent off for his reaction to Cunningham dragging a set of studs down his leg! I guess victim blaming is endemic up there! To be fair more than a couple of PNE fans said quite right about Evans and are waiting to hear about Cunningham knowing what he did. Nasty couple of evil barstewards.
  13. Well it’s not noon yet so I guess people have a few days to get a ticket, for now their are plenty, before it goes to members who don’t have the required purchases. However it will be carnage on Tuesday for sure. Another upside for the club is you can buy future games to get into tier two, thus crowds for all up and coming games will be way up and revenue to boot. I read a comment from the trust that over a 1000 new members have joined. That’s over 20k for starters. Future increased revs would take that a lot further. As those with zero to four tickets buy to get in sales tier two, all of that revenue that need not be shared. This is why the Cup is important to clubs like City.
  14. As was pointed out to me yesterday, each club doesn’t have its own developers. The application is sold to a Miriad of clubs. City will have an admin but if there are problems with the application they are the same for all clubs using the application. Not that makes anyone feel any better I guess.
  15. And a Wok! No wonder there was an Asian food crisis back then. All the Woks were rattling around the M4 and M5
  16. Exactly. City have taken two kids and one at least is going to be a superstar. City will not want to mess up that association. Thus If anyone thinks that Guernsey and or Guernsey FC won’t get some substantial benefit of a big move, contracted or not, is way off!
  17. How’s your off the field performance. Improved I guess!
  18. Due to my location when I get to AG I typically go to the Heineken Lounge. The club in fact comped me and my brothers ticket for the game against Derby about four years back for a few suggestions we made (not a happy day) Very nice! The staff are excellent, typically Paul Cheesley has some words and if you’re lucky a guest speaker. I once had the privilege of a chat and a photo with Shaun Goater. Food is nice and a comp Heineken on arrival. Padded seats are nice too You do get one or two visiting supporters, but they are not allowed in, in colours as you won’t and are told that if they celebrate or make themselves obvious they are in fact breaking the law and maybe removed. @Wardieold man will have a really nice afternoon
  19. OTIB in Bloke playing on over several games with a severe injury is really a bit crap Shocker!
