or those that are aware of the chaotic fixture schedule ahead and are not buying because of that?

I still ask how people suddenly think the football is all of a sudden any worse than compared to the vast majority in the past

Because meetings discuss sensitive and private information and not for me to disclose

A majority of people - If they really wanted to go - they would. My job has seriously impacted me in recent years but if I really wanted to get to games, I could

And the football isn’t any worse. You are right. However I don’t think that’s why people are staying away. They are staying away because it’s not got any better and there has been nothing to suggest things will improve next year. People are sick of the constant bullshit and bluster that comes from Tinnion and Junior

They are both clueless and it’s been widely accepted that as long as those two cabbages are at the helm, we will never move above mid-table in this league

I’m sure the “a true supporter would support never do that” brigade will be out in full force but **** them. Until people start speaking with their feet nothing will ever change - why would it?

I hate to say I wouldn't have wasted your time, you'll never be able to work it out that way

Exactly that, I'd say more people wouldn't renew because of the uncertainty of our fixtures

If people are simply not renewing because of crap football I'd ask who they think they're actually watching, and apart from a very small handful of seasons in the past 50 years when we did

Are tickets back on sale yet?

Not really, why is it so important to you that you know how many season tickets have been sold months before the new season staers

It’s not - but this is a forum to discuss all things Bristol City

This is a thread to discuss season ticket renewals

So I was just wondering - how many season tickets had been renewed

As for the comparison to last year - again, its not really important but I just think it would give us a good idea on where the fan base are at when it comes to supporting the plebs that run this club

Pay him as you would do one of your top tier earners.

27 years old (28 in Dec), get him signed up for 3 years (at worst 2+1).  Treat it like a free transfer, because that is what it is.  He’s a top half championship performer.  I don’t think you’ll bring in as guaranteed a performer for the overall cost.  At his peak years.

You watch him sign a 3 year contract then tear his hamstring at the press conference

I don't see how LM takes us forwards when we seem unable to win games against teams we should be beating. Perhaps a full pre season will help.

I said it under Lee Johnson and I’ll say it again under this bloke . A teams performances and a teams personality will be reflective of the manager in charge

We have the most boring bloke in charge - next season will be no different

I hope plans are being drawn up to give Rotherham a small section of the away end over by the Lansdown,  so we can give at least half the Atyeo to City fans.

Last games of the season are usually popular so we have a real opportunity to increase the attendance due to a very small away support.

How many do you think will be there?🤣

Couldnt get to the Gate so Robins TV did the trick. Leroy loves the players and club, particularly Liam. What a great series of opinions about our coach- might be worth that seagul from Weston taking a listen!! I bet a lot of other recent moaners wont be on here tonight.

With a transfer window to come, with Zak our oldest player starting at 26 and with inspired subs like Liam has made tonight i reckon all our season ticket holders will be delighted  and encouraging their mates too join up as well for August; it isnt long now. Up the City!

    🤣 Bristol Sport ******

It’s a midweek end of season fixture with nothing to play for against unremarkable opposition. It has a lot more to do with that than it does the fan’s opinions of Manning. There’s nothing embarrassing about it - most Championship clubs would see a drop off in attendance under the same circumstances.

I wanted Manning gone but let’s give the guy some credit where it’s due.

Great result and performance - agreed. But my point is that crowd tonight wasn’t just because it was a dead rubber

Weve had plenty of dead rubber games over the last 8/9 years - and the crowd have never stayed away like they have tonight and the last few games

    This thread has aged terribly

Not really. The damage has been done . It will take a bit more then a few good results to get people back on board

Just look at the crowd tonight. Embarrassing

I do think it’s about time there was some sort of punishment for this behaviour as it’s blatant cheating

I thought it was! Didn’t Bailey Wright get suspended a couple of years back after an incident at Fulham?

Mbude seems to me to be a classic example of a player who is brilliant in age group football (and looking at his career, he absolutely was) who struggles to make the step up to the men’s game. It happens a lot.

A mate of mine’s son plays for one of the local academies and as part of his development he went out on a work experience loan to a Southern League team. He couldn’t believe the step up in intensity, physicality and just pure competitiveness, even at that level. The biggest thing for him was that he was playing first team football and that results mattered to people in a way they just don’t at U18s.

Mbude is playing about 7 divisions higher than that for us, having never played anywhere near the Championship before. It’s a huge step to make and it’s no surprise he’s finding it hard. As a percentage very few young players, even outstanding ones, actually get anywhere this high up the pyramid. I don't blame the club for looking at him as his youth career did suggest that he could be ‘the one’, but it does seem like this one isn’t going to work out.

    Spot on

Marvin Brown and on a lesser scale, Tristan Plummer spring to mind

Marvin Brown especially. I can remember people taking about him potentially being the first £10m Bristol football player

He was a beast at youth level - then got found out very early when he stepped up to senior level

It would be great now if fans could come along to the gate in their thousands and support and enjoy the rest of season now the pressure is off , I’d also like to see the players enjoy it and play with a smile on their faces and interact with the fans more , come on let’s all enjoy it and get behind the lads

What pressure was ever on them? It’s been the most boring season for a long time

    and that’s saying something

A couple of games aside I really don't agree with this.

I have been more entertained at Ashton gate under Manning than I ever was under the last couple of years under Lee Johnson, all of Dean Holden and a large part of Nigel Pearson's time with us.

That’s nothing to brag about. The football under all four has been ******* awful
