  1. Do we just say this every time a club goes under, until the next time? Nothing’s changing within football and if anything the spending/gambling on promotion is getting more reckless
  2. I dont think we're ones to comment about performances against Sunderland
  3. Not dodgy at all signing those 2 McKay lads... ?
  4. I agree. I'll leave the debate about him being part of our downfall this season to the other threads. He deserves thanks for steadying the ship and being a part of our title winning season, and regardless of how its turned out he at least deserved a "thanks for your service" from the club. I bet LJ gets more when he finally goes!
  5. Had the game been played on Tuesday we wouldnt have known any different!
  6. The biggest cliche in football. At half time the next goal is always vital - unless your 4-0 down
  7. Loving this! Missed the first goal but what a half. Only seen this game and leeds so far this season, cant see what all the moaning is about we're gonna win the league
  8. When was the last time England lost a competitive game to a team below them in the rankings? im sure Uruguay were above us going into the last WC. We didn't lose at the euros, 2010 Germany must have been above us? So I make it Ukraine in 2009. weve lost some friendlies that we shouldn't have, but so do other countries. Look at Spain. Terrible WC campaign as defending champions and lost to Slovakia in qualifying. Ultimately we are a top 10 team that will beat most teams we play until we get to the later stages of a tournament.
  9. Why? Some will argue you can name 10 teams better than England but based on what? Their style of play? Their top players? Their results? Belgium are currently ranked number 2 - they are hugely over rated. They haven't beaten anyone worth raving about, cant even credit them for beating France as they are poor now. Only 2 teams have beaten us in a competitive fixture since Germany trounced us 5 years ago. Last years WC was a farce, but I still think we are a top 10 team at least. We are certainly better than Romania, Belgium, Chile and Wales, regardless of what those rankings might say, though I'd accept that Italy and Spain would still be above us and possibly Netherlands (along with the other teams that are above)
  10. Think that says it all, we did in fact batter them last night and but for some poor finishing it could have been a riot
  11. In fact il go one better, alchohol clearly clouded my judgement of the game because I didn't realise quite how much we dominated possession and chances (according to the stats on sky). In my defence, when you are 2-0 down in a bar full of Leeds scum, you need to drink a LOT to get through it. I still have concerns over the 3-5-2 in this league, but it's clear to see the fight and team spirit exists, and that's worth a lot!
  12. Yep, I fully accept I was wrong. Great end to the game and proved me wrong. It was VERY difficult not to go wild in Billy's, I'd probably be in an ambulance if I had.
  13. Agreed, not an open goal as such but certainly a very good opportunity. It definitely looked like the keeper saved it though
  14. How the hell did he completely miss that!! Wouldn't say it was easier to score, but not far off!!
  15. Wouldn't be so bad if it was actually funny.
  16. I think a Cardiff rivalry is more likely. Certainly next season, thats the big one.
  17. Agree with this, he was the only one who seemed capable of a "killer" pass forwards. There was little movement in front of him and Telford packed their half. We dominated possession without having that creative age that's all.
  18. Bit harsh, Waggy and Cunningham certainly put effort in and Kane had a great game in CM. The worst culprits were Williams and Ayling, too many turns and turn backs when they were last men with a Striker bearing down. Almost cost us a few times.
  19. He's not been great and off the ball had been anonymous, but he has played a few class passes that have led to attacks. To say "no quality" isn't accurate
  20. Correct. Kane the best of the three so far. Defence had nothing much to do except when we've given the ball away. A great early save by fielding following his own miss kick, other than that Telford have nothing. Seems like were going easy and trying to much, need to just move the ball - when we hVe done we've cut them open. 2 great saves from Telford keeper just before half time. We are in no danger of losing this at present, they just need some more urgency.
  21. Why did it have to be to them Ffs!!! Elliot has some serious explaining to do!
