  1. Got a well deserved assist too
  2. Yep he’s been great so far today, hard work from him got that goal
  3. Rubbish, he’s looked lively so far - won the ball back / caused a couple of turnovers that have led to chances. Probably could have done better but great block from the first shot.
  4. Great start this to be fair, could have had 3/4 by now (could also have conceded)
  5. Because Pickford is equally as good (especially for England), we’re quite blessed in that department.
  6. 2 half decent penalty shouts there I thought to, especially the first one
  7. Think of how many points we threw away late in games too, Blackpool immediately springs to mind. We're not a million miles away being contenders. I'm hoping a good summer, and some better luck with injuries and we'll be looking at the top 10
  8. It’s his preferred position Whilst I generally like Maguire for England he’s definitely had bad games. He’s well in credit though
  9. What RR means is HE only trusts the OS and won’t listen to rumours, but instead of just saying that he is deliberately antagonistic and likes to repeat this tripe at every opportunity
  10. Gentle push ? stuck his fingers in his eyes, even if by accident that's gonna hurt for a bit
  11. It’s actually quite wild down the bottom of the table this season, could be one of the most exciting relegation battles in a while? Theres 8 teams there average less than a point per game, which means if they follow suit we could see a large number not make the typical safety net of 40 points. Teams having to play each other May of course affect that. Lookinh at this stage in past years there’s usually at least 1 team all but buried by now, often 2 leaving 3-4 teams to battle over the last place. As it stands, all of the bottom 9 are realistically at risk albeit Palace doing themselves a big favour yesterday
  12. No I don’t, that’s why I asked. Never heard of that before.

    ANIS?

This. He reminds of me young Bolasie. There was something there but was still raw and led to some poor decisions.
  14. I tend to agree, what’s frustrating is a lack of consistency though. Some refs insist on the whistle, some allow them to be taken quick. I guess as defenders we need to be switched on and someone stood over the ball.
  15. Id be amazed if anyone thought that to be honest. It was obvious from the already existing debates that you can watch the same event a dozen times and people will have different conclusions.
  16. It’s an interesting debate. All my mates who rarely if ever go to games think it’s a great idea - of course they do… This will have the biggest impact on non-league clubs IMO. Just taking same friends for example, a few of them will go down the local clubs on a Saturday afternoon as there is no other football on. How much will attendances be affected at those step 5/6 clubs if fans can stay at home and watch their main team? Also, player availability for Saturday teams has been dwindling for years. I think it’ll make it even more difficult on a wet and windy winter afternoon if an alternative option is to sit in the pub and watch Liverpool v Man Utd instead. People who regularly go to games will likely be unaffected, we’ll still go as much as we can but away games may take a hit. One suggestion is to change kick off times for lower league football to earlier in the day. I think at park level that’s actually a really good idea. 10:30 KO off on a Saturday would be really popular IMO, people can still have their weekend with their families/partners then rather than losing a whole day every week and people can also go and watch their teams too if they wish, live or otherwise.
  17. As someone who would have been impacted by this back when I had a nasty injury I think it’s awful (from what I’ve read). I’d like some more insight into why they are doing this and what they hope to improve (other than the obvious club finances)
  18. I thought we’d ride the wave of momentum after winning league 1 and get back to back promotions like several teams before us had managed. I thought SOD would come good. I thought Pearson would have had a more instant impact on results. I wanted him back when we appointed Holden, and I thought he’d come in and instantly improve what we had before going on to add his own players and move people on. I didn’t think it would take this long.
  19. Agreed, although we got tanked at Molinuex - though that atmosphere wasn’t much better! Next home game is OT so we’ll see if it’s much different, I’m hoping to go as never been up there
  20. So I overheard the guys next to me point this out, obviously asked if they were City fans… nope, all rovers. What are the chances they asked… I know, especially as there’s so few of you I answered ? One was keen to correct me on the way out that they weren’t all rovers, he was Southampton! They had a weird obsession with Henderson, I assumed they didn’t rate him and were taking the piss. You’ll be surprised to know they made several questionable comments, they probably don’t get to see this passing on the deck stuff often. As for the game thought it as a typical performance against weaker opposition at Wembley. Never really in doubt and 2 decent goals (that pass from Kane to Saka for the first was KDB esque. Atmosphere at Wembley is trash for these games, too many paper airplanes, Mexican waves and people getting food and drink every 5 minutes. I think we need to go back to playing around the country more.
  21. You said they hadn’t bought anyone for 3 windows, I just pointed out tht was incorrect.
  22. Yea I get that, and it seems odd to go back and punish with some that haven’t been. I’ve just seen the “the games gone” “it’s not a contact sport anymore” comments several times over the last couple of days but I think this is different, it’s always been a bit of a no no to kick out at a player even if it does appear pretty soft in terms of contact here. Its the rules and players should no better, but I still think he’s provoked by a stamp or something, hard to tell for sure.
  23. They signed several players in the summer??
  24. Not really, the rail prices have gone up every single year as far as I can remember and the service has got shitter. You could easily say, they should have no problem giving a decent pay rise after all the increases every year. Give it 12 months they will rise them again
