  1. If we hadn't beaten Southampton I'm not sure he'd still be here, it's the only thing people really have to praise him for - arguably Watford too? The cup games were good but was still 1 win in 4, and Forest were there for the taking at home. The first West Ham game was truly a brilliant performance especially after going behind so early. There was so much fight and desire from the lads in that game - which makes the recent performances seem like they must be instructed to play that way and hold back, it's not them not wanting to do it. It still seems bizarre just how good that Southampton game was and how high we all felt walking away from that game. Genuinely thought he'd cracked it and the tide would turn. Probably about the same, the difference is the fan's expectations and the comments from the club. Most of us would have been happy with another season of mid-table ahead of a push next year, even if it meant Nige left in the summer.
  2. No, but on the flip side we have to put up with it 3 times in 8 days the week after!
  3. Isn't this said because even the bottom place finish gets £100m if they go down? So they don't get that upfront to improve their squad
  4. I assumed he was just guessing or saying it from a fans perspective - eg he needs to show something before the seasons up or he'll lose everyone. He has began to row back massively, especially on the pdcast the otehr day so maybe he has got inside knowledge on this?
  5. Have you got a link please?
  6. It's purple, says so in the article: https://www.englandfootball.com/articles/2024/Mar/18/new-england-nike-kits-2024-in-detail-kit-photos-20241803
  7. Probably because the thread was actually about an incident in another game, but it's been completely derailed because the title the OP chose to use.
  8. Bradley for Robertson seemed enforced? Salah potentially related to his fasting and recent injuries? Either way not sure it’s necessarily weakening your team if the players on the pitch are done. The other sub scored the goal, so again can’t necessarily call that as wrong - even if he did then make a mistake for the winner, easy said in hindsight. Could easily criticise them for pushing too much at that corner and not leaving an extra player or two back.
  9. Not competition specific, he’ll miss next league game, harsh to call him an idiot though - imagine the emotion of scoring that goal. It’s a silly rule.
  10. Which is quite impressive when margins are so fine, and the impact of dehydration on performance is well documented.
  11. What’s this clause that got you moved, and how do we get one?
  12. Must feel like he’s been treated badly, especially if this nonsense about an appearance clause is true
  13. McCrorie bought for one system, played in another
  14. The thing with this is, following on from the post I just made, is that I think 14 of the last 16 have been in the championship, but before that it was only 6 out of 23. Thats progress. It’s almost like saying Palace are a boring Premier league club. Again, they’d have bit your hand off for that in the late 90s
  15. Supposed it depends on the timescales in question. 10-15 years ago we’d have bit peoples hands off to be a “boring Championship club”. all through my growing up we were a league 1 club with the occasional season in division 1 / championship. Id say there’s many worse clubs to follow than us - and a few that wish they still existed
  16. You’d assume TGH? Their commentators seemed to dislike him too for some reason, but then they were horribly bias to their own so no surprise
  17. I said it on the thread created with almost the same title last week, but players have two choices when they don’t agree with a managers style. 1. They don’t follow the plan and try to do their own thing to influence the game. This is likely even more ineffective unless they are Ronaldo-like in their ability. They are now the problem and easy to blame. 2. They do exactly as the manager says. It makes them look shit, but there’s only one fall guy at the end. I always used to tell my teammates to stick to 2.
  18. Was 500/1 2 weeks ago, Predictably in those 2 game weeks since only 3 teams below us have managed to win one (and one of those games was Millwall beating Birmingham) We aren’t going down if not simply because there’s too many teams below us who can’t buy a win either.
  19. I agree, but people (not necessarily the poster in here) are being a bit disingenuous bringing up an old comment and suggesting it’s just been said.
  20. https://www.afcb.co.uk/news/first-team/injury-news-latest-on-solanke-senesi-and-adams/
  21. Extreme yea, but also 10 years old. Was said after Harry Redknapp said Spurs players would regularly try and get out of international duty
  22. Solanke has been carrying an injury for the last 2-3 weeks
  23. No surprise, he’s been dreadful. Henderson is criminally underrated by some, and none of us have any idea what he offers off the pitch etc. That said, I’d assume or hope he’s a back up player now. Good experience to bring on if needed. Rice, Bellingham plus one other - Trent or Maddison for me (assuming Foden and Saka in front with Kane)
  24. Absolutely. I don't know the answer to this, but what was Pearson's record against bottom 8 teams - or LJ's for that matter?
